Introducing, Karolina Tarkovskyte, LOUIS XIII Cognac Brand Ambassador at Rémy Cointreau and this week’s #IndustryInspiration ! 🥂
Karolina embarked on her career behind the bar in Lithuania, at one of the country’s most popular nightclubs. From there, Karolina took on a few different roles in Lithuania’s F&B industry, pushing herself both behind the bar and on the floor. When Karolina turned 21 she moved to Dubai for a new restaurant opening in the Burj Khalifa. Karolina had only planned to stay for just six months, but 13 years later, Dubai has become her home, leading to her current role where she represents LOUIS XIII, the most prestigious cognac in the world.
Delving into her role, Karolina explains, “I remember getting the call in 2018 like it was yesterday. A friend I’d met during my bartending days called and said, ‘What if I told you LOUIS XIII is looking for a brand ambassador?’ I didn’t think twice before saying yes, even though I had a fantastic job as a marketing and events director. Being a brand ambassador for LOUIS XIII isn’t a 9-5 job—it’s a way of life. As soon as I leave my house, I represent the brand. In the beginning, people in Dubai knew the name LOUIS XIII, but few really understood its legacy. I started from the ground up, conducting trainings, building awareness, and making sure the brand was visible in the right places. When people hear the story behind it, they connect with the brand on a deeper level and fall in love with it.”
Speaking on her love for the brand, Karolina shares, “I love the craftsmanship, the tradition, and the sense of family. When I talk about LOUIS XIII, it feels personal, like I’m talking about my own roots. It’s not just a product, it’s a legacy—a story of dedication that’s been passed down for generations. That’s something I connect with deeply, especially now as a mother, thinking about what I’ll pass down to my child.”
The future looks bright for Karolina, as she shares her goals, “In the short term, I’m excited to dive back into work after my maternity leave. We have a lot of exciting events and activations coming up, and I can’t wait to bring them to life. Long term, I’m a big believer in storytelling through experiences. My goal is to introduce as many people as possible to the magic of LOUIS XIII—the history, the craftsmanship, and the patience it takes to create something so extraordinary.”
To conclude, Karolina advises, “My biggest advice is to dream big and follow your passion. If someone had told me when I was just starting out as a bartender that one day I’d be representing LOUIS XIII in Dubai, I wouldn’t have believed them. But here I am. Whatever path you choose, do it with heart. Stay authentic to who you are, and put love into everything you do. That’s what will set you apart.”
