VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd embarks on the prep work for the £210m M3 Junction upgrade near #Winchester in #Hampshire. National Highways has given the green light for compound construction and vegetation management, with construction scheduled to kick off in early 2025 and conclude in late 2027. The ambitious project includes creating four traffic lanes in each direction of the M3 and establishing a same-direction free-flow link between the M3 and A34. In addition, VolkerFitzpatrick will construct three new bridges, rearrange the main junction 9 roundabout, and introduce various other structures such as new underpasses. An environmentally-conscious approach is being adopted, with the reuse of existing sub-base materials to minimise environmental impact.
