Three Years at StackAdapt: A Moment of Gratitude 🙏 Thank you to everyone who reached out to celebrate my three-year anniversary at StackAdapt! It’s been a time of reflection, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of what David von Hilchen always describes as the “rocketship” 🚀 I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me during my career since I moved to the UK. Moving here and navigating a career with English as my second language hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve been surrounded by amazing people who’ve supported me both personally and professionally. Today was a day of dual emotions for me personally. One side a rough day and other side, feeling proud of my team at Fitelo today. Day-106 About 2.5 years ago, we embarked on our tech journey with a small team Our journey from 0 to 1 has been nothing short of a roller coaster. With our growth and vision for the upcoming year, we recognized the need to revamp our backend and shift towards a #microservices architecture for scalability and to cut down on infrastructure costs. This Sunday marked a significant milestone as we migrated to the new platform. The past #48hours have been intense for everyone involved, with many team members pushing through without sleep. The dedication and effort to make this transition. It's normal to face challenges, but the remarkable part, or as we say "#gazab" is how our team has handled every query, taken ownership, and worked tirelessly, not just as a job but as a personal mission. Despite the bumps along the migration path, I am proud of my team :) Building such a tightly-knit group has been a privilege, and leading our tech and analytics team has been an honor. The spirit of never saying NO has been instrumental in creating an exceptional product for Fitelo. 🌅Welcome to #NewHorizons! - words I will never forget (take a look at the video linked below to see why) 🌅 “Let’s make it about the ecosystem and let's make it big”, were the words of Thomas, during my first week at Vsquared Ventures, when him and I brainstormed on how we would shape an event, we had decided to put on the books. Which was fitting, since breaking down barriers, persistence and resilience, were the themes we pinned down for the event. Little did I know that around 5 months, countless brainstorming sessions with the best team, numerous debates on design, exchanges with our partners on seemingly all channels existing, being grateful for coding skills of team members (shoutout to Ferdinand), and more requests than I can count to send the invite to someone who should also really come (no tool seemed good enough), we arrived at what we coined #NewHorizons! Tommy’s words rang true. Over 200 people shaping the #deeptech ecosystem came together. The result: a day full of inspiring panels with pioneers discussing the sectors trajectory in the future, talks by founders re-defining their respective industries, and a dinner, turned party, turned overtime for the DJ. Something very interesting happened a few days back when I visited my previous company during sem break… I thought of surprising my previous colleagues and founders on a random Friday and spend some time seeing how things might have changed as the company reached 50+ employees from the previous 15 people focused team. Quite a lot changed in just 8 months! A funding round happened, office space expanded in our coworking space, new internal teams were formed, SOPs that I was preparing on excel were now on super formalized platforms, the product and the value proposition went through many iterations after multiple market insights. 👉But what amazed me were not these changes! It was rather one thing that remained constant: culture. It is so easy to get diluted on culture as the company’s scale. Surprisingly, there was not even an iota of change in how the culture was defined since I left. I could easily witness these core behaviour patterns in every person out there: 1️⃣Insane customer obsession 2️⃣Under commit but over deliver 3️⃣Problem-first mindset 👉How it happened? It is really hard to bring the team to the same level of your vision until you instill your vision in their minds over and over again. Such a culture was actually the outcome of “overcommunication” engineered beautifully by both the founders Pushpal and Brijesh Agarwal. It was happening at Devx with weekly company level updates by Pushpal to everyone in the company (even interns), then at vulnerable one on one chats with each and every one regarding the rights and wrongs, again over one on one catch-ups with Pushpal sharing lunch time with every employee individually. And subtly even in regular team outings. Here is where I truly understood the power and application of this saying! “The biggest issue with communication is the Illusion that it has happened.” Super proud of the team!
