From sketch to reality in seconds! I gave a shot at Vizcom. I was aiming for a playful look while designing a kid's chair using simple, rounded forms for a soft and inviting design. With the assistance of Vizcom AI, bringing a simple sketch to life in 3D visualization was not only quick but also immensely helpful in concept development and optimizing time and energy. Inspired by Real-Life Observations: A Concept for Assisting the Visually Impaired Today, on my way back from work, I noticed a blind man navigating a busy street. Watching his determination sparked an idea for a tool that could enhance the independence and mobility of visually impaired individuals. Here’s an early concept of the solution: 1. Utilizes vision-based models to understand the environment and provide real-time feedback. 2. Leverages an external camera, mounted on the user’s clothing, acting as an “eye” for the model. 3. Delivers auditory feedback through headphones to guide the user. 4. Employs depth estimation models to assess the distance between the user and surrounding objects. 5. Designed to operate on edge devices and handhelds, ensuring portability. For example: “There is a vehicle 5m ahead of you, turn right…” The initial prototype is a basic implementation, using simple models with limited depth accuracy, but it lays the foundation for future development. I’m excited to explore how this idea could evolve to significantly improve accessibility.
