Why are these four Boards Amalgamating? The RAHB, WRAR, SDREB and MREB Directors recognize that REALTOR® Members want and deserve better services. This amalgamation seeks to solidify REALTOR® Members’ confidence and heighten the value they receive from their membership. RAHB, WRAR, SDREB and MREB are also mindful of ongoing changes in the structure of organized real estate. The consolidation of MLS® Systems, amalgamations of Boards and Associations – and imbalance of influence among Boards in Ontario, along with the evolving relationships between Provincial and National Associations, Member Boards and REALTORS® – generally are affecting any one Board’s ability to impact positive change for their REALTOR® Members. In this context, RAHB, WRAR, SDREB, and MREB propose amalgamating to establish a more influential and capable organization to meet these changes and provide Members with the most robust MLS® System. The four Boards appreciate the value of having a more assertive and aligned voice for Members. Through amalgamation, REALTORS® will benefit from increased coordination and value. Weekly Outlook, October 21, 2024, highlighted the following: - KBRA market growth: KBRA’s continued growth in winning new mandates, both in addition to and away from the other agencies, benefited its market share which now stands at almost 13% of 2024 rated par and nearly 18% in the multi-rated market (Fig. 1). - KBRA’s notable new rating mandates: Notably, KBRA issued its inaugural #rating on Q3’s $1.2B DASNY-issued New York sales tax bonds and also assigned first-time #ratings to the City of Dublin (OH), El Paso County Hospital District (TX), Reno-Tahoe Airport (NV), and Jacksonville Transportation Authority (FL).

So you're on the talent management train and about to start using the 9 box grid to understand the various individuals in the team, and their position. But... Have you considered the career pathways available to them? Are they mapped out? You've got defined job roles but are they aligned to a talent competency framework? If they are, great! Is that framework aligned with something like SFIA (https://sfia-online.org/en)? What is SFIA? "SFIA defines the skills and competencies required by professionals who design, develop, implement, manage and protect the data and technology that power the digital world." As mentioned yesterday, the 9 box grid is useful and a great tool but realistically it needs to be part of a wider talent management approach that is used throughout an organisation.
