#1 question: What are your rates? 🤔 The most common question we hear is “What are your rates?” We’re happy to provide an answer, but the answer is a bit complex. Our website doesn't display rate quotes directly, and there's a good reason for that! Pricing varies based on several dynamic factors to ensure you get the best value for your stay. Rates are variable, influenced by: ✅ Seasonal changes: Different times of the year may offer unique experiences and pricing. ✅ Current demand: Availability and popularity can affect our rates. ✅ Advance booking times: Early planners may enjoy different rates than last-minute bookers. ✅ Special events: Exciting events at the park can also impact our prices. Ready to reserve your campsite at Cullman Campground? Here’s how you can find our most accurate and up-to-date rates: 📲 Call our office: Speak directly with our friendly staff who can provide personalized rate information and share any exclusive discounts or promotions. Why most holiday lets are priced wrong and how you can fix yours ❌ Avoid this common mistake – Many hosts price their properties based on what others are charging, rather than developing a strategic pricing plan 📊 Consider supply and demand – Pay attention to seasonality! In the low season, focus on occupancy by lowering prices, and in the high season, increase rates to maximise profits Many hosts don’t know how to do this and it’s costing them money and profit! Today, the Federal Trade Commission finalized a rule to stop drip-pricing scams on hotels, vacation rentals, and live events—saving families billions of dollars and restoring fairness and transparency. No more hidden fees. No more games. As Groundwork’s Executive Director Lindsay A. Owens, PhD said: “Junk fees have become a favorite tool of corporate executives looking to supersize profits on the backs of their customers. Families deserve freedom from hundreds of dollars in surprise junk fees on their next family vacation or concert. That’s what this rule gives them.” This is a huge win for consumers, accountability, and fairness. Families will finally get the real price upfront—and keep more money in their pockets. https://lnkd.in/eaQDd7it

Planning for Christmas can feel overwhelming, but a few smart financial strategies can make it affordable and stress-free... Embrace DIY decorations: Get creative with homemade decorations using items you already have at home or inexpensive supplies from pound shops. This not only saves money but also adds a personal touch to your holiday décor. Be mindful of food expenses: Hosting a Christmas gathering doesn't have to break the bank. Plan your menu ahead of time, shop for ingredients during sales, and consider a potluck-style meal where guests bring a dish to share. Create new traditions: Instead of focusing on material gifts, consider creating new traditions that focus on experiences and quality time. Host a festive movie marathon, a board game night, or a DIY craft workshop, and make unforgettable memories without breaking the bank. #christmas #budgeting #spending #finance

FTC Announces Ban on Junk Ticket and Hotel Fees The Federal Trade Commission announced a final Junk Fees Rule to prohibit bait-and-switch pricing and other tactics used to hide total prices and bury junk fees in the live-event ticketing and short-term lodging industries. The ban does not prohibit the fees but requires businesses that exclude allowable fees upfront to clearly and conspicuously disclose the nature, purpose, identity, and amount of those fees before consumers consent to pay. You know what really grinds my gears? Junk fees. Those extra charges that go by many names like "resort fees" "handling fees" "service fees" and drive up the overall cost of every hotel room, homeshare or event ticket you buy. Whatever you think you're paying for that concert ends up being nearly twice as much because of these expensive surcharges. One of the reasons I love chasing points and miles with hotel programs like Hilton or Hyatt is that many of these programs waive those fees when you book reward stays. The Federal Trade Commission announced the Junk Fees Rule today that aims to make these add-ons more apparent and visible up front. Eliminating them entirely would probably just lead to the suppliers baking them in to the overall price from the get-go but increased transparency is always a good thing. https://lnkd.in/e4G9y4dv
