This site, home to H&M, Boots, JD Sports, and Pandora, generates a gross income of £4.3m annually. 🏦Frasers plans to open a multi-brand anchor store at Fremlin Walk by autumn, combining Frasers, Flannels, and Sports Direct. This move follows their recent acquisitions like The Mall in Luton, now Luton Point, and centres in Dundee, Castleford, and Doncaster. For years, retailers have flocked to set up shop in “it” neighborhoods in New York City. Before the #pandemic, as well as during the first couple years of its recovery, #Soho and #Nolita reigned supreme, with Valentino, Wilson Sporting Goods Co. and Vuori all opening stores there. #Williamsburg has also been buzzy among #DTC businesses, thanks to its chic cafes, thrift stores and waterfront views. Now, tides are shifting, and brands of all types and sizes — not just high-end ones — are making the move to #Midtown. Much of this is due to a major revamping of Rockefeller Center, which encompasses six square blocks. Under this partnership, The Container Store will sell select "most popular" Bed Bath & Beyond-branded home items, leveraging the well-known brand to attract customers. Despite Bed Bath & Beyond's struggles as an online retailer after filing for bankruptcy last year, this move gives the brand a physical retail presence again while providing The Container Store a much-needed financial boost. The Container Store’s stock has already seen a significant rise, though some remain skeptical about whether this partnership can lead to long-term recovery for both brands. Bed Bath & Beyond had 480 stores when it filed for bankruptcy on this date last year But just 1 year later its real estate is filling quickly So what tenants have moved into the #BedBathandBeyond real estate? ▪️Burlington Stores, Inc. has already taken 64 sites and wants more ▪️ALDI USA, Barnes & Noble, Inc., Macy's‘s, Havertys Furniture, Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Inc. and TJMaxx have all opened at multiple #BigBox sites ▪️Several have even been made into indoor #pickleball centers via adaptive reuse   And as for the Bed Bath & Beyond brand? Well it also hasn’t gone away Overstock - since re-named Beyond - has re-launched the Bed Bath website for #ecommerce sales And on an earnings call earlier this year, Beyond’s CEO Marcus Lemonis even commented that people frequently ask him "Is Bed Bath & Beyond going to have stores again?" Lemonis indicated that there are no plans to open #retail stores any time soon But he made a point to not rule it out in the future ⬇
