Unveiling the "Sound of freshness": My latest research in multisensory perfumery I'm excited to share my latest research, published in Food Quality and Preference, titled "Sound of freshness: Crafting multisensory experience in perfumery" https://lnkd.in/e7DHR4Ds. In this work, colleagues from Grupo Boticário and Universidad de Los Andes explored a novel approach to fragrance innovation: harnessing the power of sound to influence how people perceive freshness. Here's a glimpse into our key findings: * The science of fresh sounds: We identified specific sound characteristics that effectively trigger feelings of freshness. * Brand harmony: We composed soundtracks tailored to specific fragrance brands, successfully linking auditory cues with brand values and freshness perception. * Beyond self-perception: Our research explored the fascinating discrepancies between what people consciously report and their implicit responses, highlighting the power of subconscious influences. * The multisensory experience: We demonstrated how soundtracks can modulate the implicit perception of a fragrance's freshness, paving the way for a richer multisensory experience. These findings hold significant potential for the #cosmetics industry. By strategically incorporating sound into the customer experience, cosmetic companies can create more engaging and memorable brand interactions. This research is a significant step forward in the innovative field of multisensory perfumery. I'm eager to see how this approach can be further developed and implemented to revolutionize how we experience fragrance.
