As Christmas approaches, the festive spirit often means parties, flowing drinks, and lots of good cheer. But it’s also a time when people can unintentionally lower their guard. Ladies, let’s remember this: Your boundaries matter. Whether it’s a crowded party, a friendly gathering, or even a professional celebration, your comfort and safety should always come first. “No” Means No: Your consent is not up for debate, no matter the situation. Stay Aware: Keep an eye on your surroundings and your drink—awareness is your best ally. Stick Together: There’s safety in numbers, so stay connected with trusted friends. The holidays are about joy and connection, but that doesn’t mean compromising your personal space or safety. Let’s prioritize self-respect and look out for each other this festive season. ✨ Your boundaries are a gift—don’t let anyone cross them.

Comparison is the thief of Joy. A little reminder: Don’t compare yourself to what other people are doing this festive season. Everyone prioritises different things. And what people prioritise will be based on years of family tradition, their values and so many other things that are unique to each person. So, my top tip is to decide what is most important to you and make decisions based on that. Some things I value the most over the festive season are family and connectivity. So before adding something on the “to do list” I ask myself. “Will this bring me connectivity?” Or “Will this be good for my family?” If the answer is yes, we do it, if it’s no, it doesn’t make the list. What are you prioritising this festive season?

The festive season is supposed to be a time of joy and celebration, but as a small business owner, it can also be incredibly tough. Seeing other businesses throwing lavish Christmas parties, showering their teams with epic presents and experiences—it’s hard not to feel a pang of inadequacy. I’d love nothing more than to give my team all of that and more because they work so hard and deserve the world. I tell them every day how much I appreciate them, but it’s tough to shake the feeling that it’s not enough. It’s so easy to fall into the comparison trap, even when I know those businesses might be in a completely different phase of their journey. But when these celebrations are all over social media, it’s hard not to feel low—hard not to feel like I’m falling short. So, here’s a little reminder to myself (and anyone else feeling the same): Appreciation isn’t just about extravagant gifts or grand gestures. It’s about showing up, being genuine, and making your team feel valued every single day. And while I might not be able to give them everything I dream of this year (but don't worry there will be some fun coming their way), I hope they know how much they mean to me. To all the small business owners out there juggling the festive season—just remember, the effort you put into your business and your team matters. You’re doing enough. #smallbusinesslife #festiveseasonstruggles #gratitude #teamappreciation #realtalk

🎄 Twas the First Week of December… 🎄 ...and all through the office, not a keyboard was silent, not even a mouse. But let’s be real: with festive excitement in the air, staying focused on closing deals and finalising projects isn’t exactly easy, is it? 🎅✨ I glanced at my diary this morning and—POW 💥—a realisation hit me: the next two weeks are an absolute whirlwind. Deadlines, finalising 2024 strategies, tying up loose ends, and yes, juggling those outside-of-work festivities that seem to multiply overnight! 🗓️🎁 Here’s the reality: December doesn’t mean we can coast to the finish line. Sure, Christmas cookies and Secret Santa exchanges are great, but the deals we close now and the projects we finish strong are what set us up for a stellar start to 2025. 🎯 So, if you’re feeling that pull between Christmas cheer and end-of-year crunch, know you’re not alone! My plan? ✅ Take a deep breath. ✅ Tackle the big tasks first (even if I’d rather decorate a tree 🎄). ✅ Keep the festive energy alive (peppermint mocha anyone? ☕). ✅ And remember: the more organised we are now, the more relaxed January feels. Here’s to crushing those deadlines and still making time for a Hot Chocolate (or three)! Who’s with me? #DecemberMadness #BusinessDevelopment #FinishStrong #ChristmasVsDeadlines #FinalPush2023
