🎁 Give more, save more. Your holiday generosity doesn’t just brighten someone’s day—it could also lower your tax bill. If you itemize, donations made before December 31 to qualifying charities may help reduce your taxable income. 📌 What to keep in mind: • Contributions can be monetary or donated goods (in good condition). • Always document your donations—receipts are key for filing. This holiday season, let your kindness give back in more ways than one. Have questions about how to make the most of your giving? We’re happy to assist. #ClientFocused #TaxTipWednesday #HolidayTaxPlanning

PSCU/Co-op is asking for your selfies to support this year’s #shadesupforkids campaign to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the National Credit Union Foundation($10 per selfie). Easiest thing I’ve done to help support kids! It’s simple - next time you’re flying somewhere: 1) raise your window shade 2) take a selfie 3) post it to LinkedIn with the hashtag #shadesupforkids Don’t forget, for every shades up post, PSCU / Co-op Solutions will donate $10 to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals! It’s worth every effort ! Doesn’t matter whether you are wearing make up or not - let’s help the cause. #CMN #CU4Kids #Childrenmiraclenetwork #communitiespeoplehelpingpeople #creditunions #digital #digitalbanking #digitalevolution #digitaltransformation

The holiday season is also the time of year when we give the most to charitable causes. For many non-profits, almost 40% of donations will come in the last month of the year. Of course one of the benefits of giving is the potential for tax breaks. In the comments are ways to maximize those breaks while also supporting groups and organizations that could use your help. Talk to your tax advisor to see if these apply to your personal situation. #taxes #charitablegiving #taxattorney #RJSLAWFirm

Please help. Earlier this week, I visited Parliament with some brilliant parent campaigners. They were there to speak to the Disability Minister and MPs about how to make life more affordable for families with disabled children. Their message was clear. - Make it easier for carers to work, by providing good school support and childcare for disabled children. - Value unpaid care more highly in the benefits system. - Give every parent carer a benefits check, and train DWP staff better. - End the injustice of families being locked out of their own savings. - Put families with disabled children - who live in some of the poorest housholds in Britain - at the heart of the government's child poverty strategy. We can and must do better. If you agree, please consider supporting our lifeline appeal. This week, your donations will be doubled, and that means we can support more amazing parent-led campaigns like this one, and give families the specialist financial information and advice they need. https://lnkd.in/eBdJPEHc
Contact’s Counting the Costs finds the benefit system feels like a minefield for most families. This means families are missing out on millions. Contact is uniquely placed to help families get what they are entitled to, making the process of claiming less stressful. On average Contact can boost an eligible family’s income by £6,000 per year. Until Tuesday 10 December, the Big Give will double every pound donated to our Lifeline appeal. This means every gift makes twice the impact for families who need our lifechanging advice and campaigns. Donate here: bit.ly/donate-big-give

The fourth point in this list by Anna Bird financial advisers should be aware of. It is crucial. Financial advisers can help more families with disabled children avoid the trap of being locked out of Junior ISAs or Child Trust Funds. My three key asks would be that we: 👉 Identify SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) individuals within the family EARLY in the advice process 👉Understand the implications of savings held in a SEND young person's name, once they turn 18 (it comes down to Access, Risk and Means-tested benefits) 👉Educate and guide families around these issues so that they can make an informed decision about whether to save, how to save and how to avoid the traps. It is often a rude shock for parents when a child turns 18 to find out that they cannot access savings. It's a rude shock because parents are not aware of the implications. Let's build this into the advice process. SENDA

Imagine what it means to lose everything. Entire families have seen their lives destroyed and are in critical situations. We must not remain motionless; we need to demonstrate the power of solidarity, and at SPIE WIN, we believe that together we can make a difference. We are launching a donation campaign to support those affected. Every euro counts, and your small contribution can have a big impact on others. How can you help? - We have opened this account for donations: call us! - Include in the reference: "Ayuda DANA Valencia" - Deadline: 13/11/2024 Additionally, SPIE WIN will make its own financial contribution, thus multiplying the impact of your generosity. At the end of the collection, we will share a detailed report on the total amount raised and its destination. Turn your empathy into an opportunity to help. #Dana #solidaritycampaign #spain #help
