🥇PIABO Communications Named Most Wanted Employer 2024 in Marketing by ZEIT ONLINE 🥇 This recognition holds special significance for me. It marks the first time a company is being honored during my tenure as Head of People and Culture. In September I stepped into the overall responsibility for all things People related at PIABO, where Steffen Beck laid a more than solid foundation for a special culture. We first met over ten years ago at diffferent, and I trust him immensely. Now my team and I have the chance to help nurture the PIABO vision set forth by Daniela and Tilo, who consistently embody our #values and are always open to being challenged. What I've learned so far in the last 9 month: 👉 Letting go of things is a superpower. 👉 Stepping out of your comfort zone is hard but helps. 👉 Change is the only constant. Flexibility is key. 👉 Most of today's frustrations, anxieties or problems are gone in a few days. 👉 Clear expectation management is the most powerful tool in leadership, even if it hurts sometimes. So, being number one does not mean being perfect. No #organization ever will be. But consistently working towards your vision and making #decisions aligned with it every single day is what makes a number one. It's like in sports: #discipline is key. Big thank you to all PIABOs for creating a #culture like ours.

#challengeme - After 15 years, on the way to a new challenge 😊   I will be leaving BE-terna at the beginning of the new year 2025. An incredible journey is coming to an end, one that I never expected in this way. From Senior Consultant & Project Manager to Business Unit Manager, company shares, Business Area Manager DACH with Prokura, focusing on Operations Management & Account Management, and finally to Head of Business Line Manager DACH. Always accompanied by M&A phases – and above all:   👏In amazing teams 👏With amazing people   The reactions internally at BE-terna after my notice of departure:   🙏 wow… unbelievable...… grateful & proud, I'm speechless - thank you BE-terna!   Over the next few weeks, I will share some anecdotes, stages, and experiences, as well as acknowledgments – because without some companions, mentors, and colleagues, none of this would have been possible. A little in advance: It was especially important to me to leave on absolutely good terms (thanks to Gerald Pichler, Werner Platzgummer, Lukas Hostettler), as our time together was too beautiful & successful for anything else – combined with lots of fun! But of course, challenges and negative experiences are part of the journey, which I would not want to miss in total. From experience, especially during tough times, you learn the most, and it is from these that you grow.   For me, a new chapter begins – I currently have no idea what, where, or how – for the first time, I have no plan (and those who know me know this is "unusual") – but I know this: 👉I am at the best age, highly motivated, full of ideas & experiences, and eager to perform. 👉I’m excited for everything that’s to come! FACT: Team engagement & productivity increase by 14% when they are appreciated. It’s been a ritual to celebrate our monthly top performers at Fleapo. But I’ve been asked, ‘if celebrating top performers within a company has been really fruitful?’ Here is my answer [ after practising & observing it for the last 8 months ] ➡️ Shining a spotlight on top talent makes them feel valued. ➡️ It also motivates others to strive for excellence. ➡️ Public recognition on social media and internal platforms makes achievements visible to the whole company. ➡️ Moreover, celebrating wins together builds community and allows us to show our gratitude. So the short answer - Yes, it has been fruitful. But why is it so crucial? The problem is that high performers can often feel overlooked and underappreciated. When their hard work goes unnoticed, it leads to disengagement and increased turnover. We need to agitate and bring awareness to this issue. The solution is consistent recognition programs that celebrate wins big and small.
