𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁! Mentoring is about more than giving guidance—it’s a mutual journey of learning and growth. Through my roles as a mentor with the AREF (The Association of Real Estate Funds) / CREFC Europe Mentorship Scheme and CIBSE Mentoring, as well as a mentee with the ULI Europe Mentorship Programme, I’ve seen firsthand how impactful these relationships can be, both for the mentee and the mentor. Here’s my key insights: ✅ 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲. Most mentees don’t need ready-made solutions; they need clarity. Active listening empowers them to unlock their own potential. ✅ 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Encouraging mentees to discover their path is far more impactful than prescribing one. ✅ 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆-𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴. In real estate, mentoring isn’t just personal—it builds the next wave of leaders prepared to tackle ESG, sustainability, and innovation challenges. Why become a mentor? Sharing your knowledge and experiences not only contributes to someone else's success but also enhances your leadership skills and fosters a valuable exchange of ideas. 🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 Last night, I launched a groundbreaking beta test for a new mentoring program in collaboration with the University of Houston athletes! 🎯 **Program Goal:** Be a Lifeline… Have a Lifeline. 🔍 **Program Overview:** - **Monthly Meetups:** 2-hour sessions combining athletes and young participants, designed to foster both athletic and life skills development. - **One-on-One Mentoring:** Monthly individual sessions with business leaders aimed at unlocking the athletes' full potential. - **Culture Building:** We're going beyond the basics with retreats, a Friendsgiving event, and supporting each other at life events and sports activities. This initiative isn’t just about building skills—it’s about crafting lifelong connections and developing well-rounded individuals. 🌟 Whether you're mentoring or being mentored, the journey of learning and growth never stops. Mentorship is one of the more effective ways of growing as a professional and as a leader.
