Repeater A repeater is a network device that is used to boost up weak signals. Its function is to regenerate weak signals. For example, if a signal travels for some distance in a TV cable, its intensity starts to drop. Here, a repeater can regenerate the same signal by copying it bit by bit.

In the latest Broadcast transformation report by #Haivision, over 800 professionals in the industry shared their thoughts on current trends. 80% of participants selected the Internet as the most popular option for video transport, followed by cellular networks and fibre. Cellular network usage includes 5G, 3G 4G and LTE, and a combination of all is being used by 44% of surveyees, which has increased over 10% in the last year.
