A topic we've often discussed is working within budgetary constraints, and this project was yet another prime example. The Jet Prime Lounge caters to high-end clients, offering a private VIP space. The previous layout aimed to evoke a sense of warmth and coziness by heavily utilising wood surfaces and warm-coloured furniture upholstery. However, the combination of steel and white glass, illuminated by white light, failed to complement the desired atmosphere. Our challenge was to work within certain constraints: retaining the existing flooring, maintaining the current ceiling (which was a false ceiling), and preserving the metallic structures of the divider screens. The result: we introduced light drapes on the large window surfaces to create a cocoon-like feeling, adorned the space with rugs throughout, added wooden panels to the screen structures (which were also painted gold), incorporated warm lighting to cast a lovely golden hue over the entire space, and painted the false ceiling black for a chic touch.
