Are you MAD? After working with charities on their IT and telecoms for a number of years, Stuart noticed a repeat problem where there was insufficient affordable housing for their service users resulting in homelessness, living in shelters, sofa surfing etc. Let's Make a Difference (MAD) was set up to build a different social housing model where businesses, individuals, and investors could all make a positive impact on their community for generations to come. Creating a new way of approaching the problem MAD is putting processes and assets in place that will last for generations. But, they need our support. Come along to our next meeting to find out how we’re all chipping in to support Stuart 😊 #ReferralMarketing #HousingCrisis

Our focus is on the "missing middle"—working individuals who don't earn enough and must rely on Universal Credit or grants. Often overlooked and pushed into temporary accommodation, they aren't prioritised by councils. This is where charities step in, and where we see a unique opportunity for the private sector. By offering secure, social housing for employed tenants, referenced by agency-accredited independent referencing and third-party guaranteed, we create a win-win situation. The missing middle is at the heart of our efforts in third sector bridging, landlord services, and the private rental market. Together, we can provide stability and security for those who need it most. 🏡 📞 Contact us to learn more! #TheMissingMiddle #SocialHousing #CommunitySupport #HousingSolutions #PrivateRentalMarket #SecureTenancy

Most people don’t care about the plight of the Housing Departments of Councils, Housing Associations, Cooperatives or Charities. Maybe that’s because they aren’t aware of the massive and positive social impact that they have on giving people a stable home. 💪 Building Stronger Communities! 💪 Stable housing is key to economic stability and community growth. 📈 Housing Associations, Cooperatives, Charities and the Housing Departments of Councils help to create safer, more cohesive neighbourhoods and foster economic development. 🏘️ 🌍 Stable homes lead to better employment outcomes, improved health, and stronger community ties. #CommunityDevelopment #EconomicStability #socialgood #propertygoals #entrepreneur #step1tostepdone #M2P

Can you help us spread the word? 📣 Here at Lets Make A Difference, we want to build a community of ethical investors, to grow a portfolio of properties and make them available to charities. This will allow them to get those that need it most, back into safe and affordable housing. There is a growing crisis with insufficient council housing and ever increasing rental prices meaning those on housing allowance are frozen out of society. We believe we can change this, and we need to shout about it. But we need crowds of people to shout at. If you know of any events where we might be able to get a 10 minute slot or similar to speak about our work, please do let us know. #letsmakeadifference #community #ethical #investment

“As a charity and an industry, we need to recognise and harness the power we have to achieve lasting positive social impact when we combine our efforts and set our sights on a long-term ambition" ~ Paul Morrish, LandAid CEO. #LandAid is the property industry charity, working to end youth homelessness in the UK; something we are passionate about here at Howard Group. It brings together remarkable businesses and individuals across the property and wider built environment industry to support projects delivering life-changing services for 16–24 year-olds experiencing homelessness. Every year, tens of thousands of young people become homeless. Many are forced to sleep in overcrowded hostels, on people’s sofas or even on the streets. By awarding monetary grants and arranging free property expertise, LandAid enables charities to provide safe, warm, and affordable accommodation within a supportive environment for young people, helping them reach their full potential. If you have three minutes today, watch this short new video as the charity launches its strategy for 2024-2029: https://ow.ly/AJl050SFOea If you would like to use your professional skills to create social value for #charities across the country, you can volunteer for pro bono projects.
