ATS killer? Absolutely elevated to share a simple yet powerful side project I recently worked on, aiming to be replace ATS scores! I've been on the job hunt myself and quickly realised the repetitive challenge of tailoring resumes to each job description just to score high on ATS. It's exhausting and often not as effective as it should be. What if recruiters could use a tool that searches candidates based on their vector match to the job description rather than specific keywords? Introducing my project that leverages vector search using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to match candidates to job descriptions. 🔍 How it works: I utilised Microsoft Azure AI Search and other services to build this tool. You input a job description, and the system ranks and finds the best-fit candidates using vector search. It also provides a summary of why each candidate is a good match. Key Features: Real-time Updates: The tool can connect to S3 or Blob storage to fetch and update candidate data in real-time, ensuring the most current information is always used. Cost-Effective: By leveraging cloud storage and computing, the solution is optimized for cost and performance, minimizing expenses while maximizing speed and efficiency. Optimized Vector Search: The use of vector search allows for faster and more accurate matching of candidates to job descriptions based on the actual content and context, not just keywords. Benefits: - Saves time for both recruiters and candidates. - Ensures no missed opportunities or hidden talent. - Moves beyond the limitations of keyword-based searches. As a software engineer based in London, I'm passionate about exploring AI and its practical applications. I love taking ownership of projects. From brainstorming and ideation to deployment, I enjoy overseeing the entire process and finding simple yet effective solutions to complex problems. Wrapping up the week with a milestone in my professional journey! My team's collaboration with Google DeepMind that was just published is a brilliant display of how strategic alliances can meet specialized hiring needs worldwide! Being the AI powerhouse of Google, faced the unique challenge of attracting the world's most brilliant AI minds for roles that are as innovative as they are undefined. Their question was compelling: "How do you draw the interest of top AI talent to a position that lacks a title because the role itself is yet to be created?"
