Family vacations don’t have to break the bank. With a little planning and the right strategies, you can create unforgettable experiences without overspending. Here are 5 tips to make family travel more economical: 📅 1. Plan Ahead for Deals Booking early often means better prices on flights, hotels, and activities. Keep an eye out for off-season discounts and flash sales to snag the best deals. You know your vacations and leaves well in advance. 🏠 2. Opt for Budget-Friendly Stays Consider vacation rentals over hotels—they often offer more space, a kitchen for home-cooked meals, and a better rate per night for larger families. 🎟️ 3. Prioritize Free and Low-Cost Activities Explore parks, beaches, and local markets that don’t charge entry fees. Many cities also offer free family-friendly events or attractions. 🍳 4. Save on Food Dining out for every meal can add up quickly. Shop for groceries and pack snacks or simple meals to reduce costs—and avoid the “hangry” moments! 🎟️ 5. Travel Smart on Transport Instead of splurging on multiple flights, consider destinations within driving distance. Road trips can be an adventure in themselves and save you a fortune on airfare. ✨ Pro Tip: Reach out to a travel planner who can help you identify hidden savings and design an itinerary that’s both fun and budget-friendly! One can’t deny that solo travel is often romanticized when spoken about on social media. Yes, one can absolutely vouch it’s a life-changing experience, but it’s not all rainbows and butterflies either. Everything has its pros and cons and solo travel is no different, and getting sick on vacation is hands down its ugly side. Generally, no one likes the idea of getting sick when traveling – who wants to end up staying in their hotel/hostel bed? But for solo travelers, in particular, it’s way more challenging, and sadly, it’s often not talked about or openly discussed, and that needs to change. Check out Curls en Route's latest blog post now. #travelblog #solotravel https://lnkd.in/dC3Mht-q

5 Tips To Help You Afford Your Dream Vacation. 1. Savings Everything requires careful planning first. Research your dream location. Once you determine how much you need, break down how much to save per pay cheque to help you reach your goal. Just like you create a monthly budget for your household needs, you need a budget for your vacation. But don’t wait until two months beforehand to figure out the costs—it’s unlikely you’ll be able to save up enough in time 2. Keep an eye on travel deals and discounts There are travel companies that offer travel deals now and then. This is an opportunity you can’t afford to pass out on. Take advantage of sales, discounts, and deals. Who wouldn’t want to travel for free or for less? 3. Go in groups If some of your other family members or friends are planning trips, think about making it a joint effort. Group rates for hotels, flights, and attractions are common, often netting a significant discount. 4. Start with shorter trips first Think road trips and staycations. You don’t always need to jet off to some fancy island overseas to get the experience you crave. Shorter travel blocks offer the same benefits as longer vacations, and they can cost much less. Plenty of shorter trips can help you recharge, explore different areas, and experience something new – even if it’s within your home state. As a bonus, planning shorter, closer-to-home trips means you can drive instead of fly, saving the money you would have spent on airfare. 5. Travel during off-seasons Traveling during the peak months or holiday breaks means paying more for airfare, gas, and accommodations. In general, some of the best times to travel are early in the year and before the festive seasons. As a bonus, you can benefit from less crowded attractions and have a less stressful overall experience. And it is also cheaper. ........................................................................................................................... Holidays are still a high priority for UK families in spite of rising living costs. Don’t underestimate the power of recharging the batteries and reconnecting together as a family. And seeing the sun. Trends are changing as well - the traditional 2 week beach holiday has plenty of milage in it yet but increasingly, families are looking for more activity based holidays. From many holidays in one cruises, to active hike & bike breaks and road or rail trips. Multi-centre holidays are especially growing in popularity. Traditional favourites of Greece, Spain and Portugal are also seeing competition from the likes of Turkey, Tunisia and Malta. Family orientated cruise ships offer action packed facilities on board and a new destination to visit every day whilst ski resorts switch to snow free activities & wellness for the summer. If you are wavering, don’t. There’s a Summer Holiday for everyone & all budgets. #summerholidays #exploremore #whereyourjourneybegins
