- HUMAN SHOWN FOR SCALE - I’ve had the joy of getting to build, launch, and operate satellites my entire career. Now, I get to lead an incredible team building the next generation of satellite servicing with our Mission Robotic Vehicle in partnership with DARPA and the Navy Research Lab. The MRV will install our Mission Extension Pods which will extend the life of satellites running low on fuel. Even though I get to see the hardware in the factory and the robotics at NRL, it’s a whole other level of cool to see a nearly life size projection of our MRV preparing to install a MEP on the wall of Northrop Grumman’s booth at the Space Symposium. It’s a reminder of just how amazing this multi-mission servicer will be on orbit! The MRV will be able to not just install pods, but also inspect, repair, and relocate satellites and the robotic arms will provide opportunities to explore new space concepts. Together, we are showing the promise of in-space servicing as well as to make space sustainable! #SpaceLogistics #northropgrumman #space #ussf #nro #sustainability #ISAM #DARPA #aerospace #InSpaceServicing #CONFERS #COSMIC #GSSF #NRL #Intelsat #spacesymposium
