🎙️ In the latest Big App Energy podcast episode, hosts Ben and Jacob explore the advantages of implementing event-driven communication in your application's backend. You can achieve a more decoupled and flexible architecture by leveraging events to trigger actions and facilitate communication between different parts of your app. This approach allows components to wait for and react to specific events rather than relying on direct method calls. For example, you can set up a listener for a "customer paid" event and have various parts of your app respond accordingly. This leads to more independent code, easier to maintain, and adaptable to changes. Tune in to learn more about how event-driven communication can take your app's backend to the next level! 🚀 #BigAppEnergy #EventDrivenCommunication #AppDevelopment #CodeArchitecture

#100DaysOfCode 98: I was hiking during the day, so I took it easy afterwards and just worked on some stuff for the fullstack course I'm doing right now. The beginning is fairly easy as it starts from scratch especially because I already worked on web apps before. That being said tho, after a long day it's nice to repeat some stuff casually and deepen your knowledge while also being able to watch something on the side or listen to a podcast. On top of that, I am familiar with most of the common html tags but there are lots of more obscure tags like <figure>, <article> or <aside> that I haven't seen in ages and completely forgotten, so it's nice to refresh that knowledge.

On a recent podcast, Taylor Otwell talked about dev productivity and the historical main audience who Laravel was (still is?) built for. "How we think of dev productivity at Laravel goes back to the very beginning of how I started Laravel. I had a day job and I had a bunch of startup ideas I wanted to build. Of course, I needed my own framework first, so that I have a starting point for building these ideas. So Laravel at heart is geared for letting one developer build a full-stack modern web application as quickly and as enjoyably as possible hopefully."
