ETFs ARE NOT JUST PASSIVE The vast majority of ETFs on offer are passive i.e. they track the performance of an index like the S&P 500. BUT, that is now changing. Active ETFs are becoming more and more popular An Active ETF is where the fund aims to outperform the index and relies on the skill of the portfolio manager to do so. This is good if your investment objective is to outperform the market On the flipside though it probably means you will have to pay higher fees to avail of that opportunity. Active ETFs are still relatively new so you may not find a huge selection on your investment platform just yet. But the market is growing rapidly with more and more ETF managers launching such products so keep an eye out. If you like this type of content then please follow us at www.moolahinvest.com

Great speaking to Bloomberg today on the ongoing impact of the US $BTC ETF on the recent rally. What appears to have been underappreciated by the market is that the onboarding of US Investment Advisors to a novel product takes time, i.e not all firms will have access at launch. It paints a picture of pent up demand from investment advisors, waiting for the 'green-light' from their firms to allocate client capital. https://lnkd.in/g9fsGBeA

The cost of ETFs continues to fall. 💡 Amundi has expanded its product portfolio with the Amundi Prime All Country World Ucits ETF, which offers investors a low-cost and broadly diversified investment opportunity in global equity markets. With a management fee of just 0,07%, this ETF is one of the cheapest of its kind on the European market. With this step, Amundi is participating in the price war in the ETF segment and positioning itself as an attractive choice for investors. Benoit Sorel, Head of Amundi ETF, Indexing & Smart Beta, emphasizes the aim of offering important building blocks for a diversified asset allocation and establishing the brand as a preferred partner for ETF investors. ▶ Price competition in the ETF space has intensified and providers such as Invesco and State Street Global Advisors have already attracted attention with low management fees for their ETFs. For many experts, the price threshold of 0,03% already appears to be very low and further significant reductions may no longer be realistic. Impressively low costs help private investors in particular to increase returns.
