🔍 Data Exploration & Preprocessing for Cognifyz Technologies : Laying the Foundation for Data Science Success Data is at the heart of every insightful decision, but before we can extract value from it, we need to make sure it's clean and ready for analysis. Today, I spent some time diving into a dataset for Cognifyz Technologies, and here’s what I accomplished: Dataset Overview: Identified the size of the dataset—it's always good to know what you're working with! Handling Missing Values: Missing data? No problem! I filled in the gaps using median values, ensuring that my analysis won't be thrown off by incomplete data. Data Type Checks: Ensured each column had the correct data type. Clean data means more reliable results down the line. Target Variable Analysis: Analyzed the distribution of the "Aggregate rating" to uncover any class imbalances—key to understanding how our data is spread. Data preprocessing might seem like a chore, but it's a crucial step that sets the foundation for any successful data science project. I’ve just wrapped up my second data science task, and it was an exciting challenge! 🔧💻 Here’s what I accomplished: ✅ Handled Missing Values: Ensured data consistency by addressing gaps in the dataset. ✅ Dealt with Outliers: Applied the IQR method to maintain the integrity of the data. ✅ Normalized Features: Scaled features for improved model performance. ✅ Created Time-Based Features: Engineered features like hour, day of the week, and month to capture temporal patterns. ✅ Added Rolling Statistics: Incorporated rolling means and standard deviations for richer insights. ✅ Visualized Data: Explored correlations and gained a deeper understanding of relationships in the data. Each step brought me closer to transforming raw data into meaningful insights. I've been diving deep into some complex data science work recently, and I'm truly impressed by the power of Eigenvector Centrality. It's fascinating to see how it uncovers the influence of nodes within a network. 🤓 While I can't share the specifics, the outputs are too compelling not to mention! For those who might not be familiar, Eigenvector Centrality is a measure of the influence a node has within a network, considering not just the number of direct connections, but the significance of those connections as well. It's like understanding who the most influential person in a social network is by considering not just how many people they know, but how influential their connections are. Test for incremental impact without a data scientist. This was the original idea Stella was built on. If you say the word "incrementality" most people's eyes glaze over. Its definitely not a good thing to bring up on a first date. But it used to be that only the largest companies with the biggest budgets could conduct incrementality tests. That is no longer the case. We built Stella to be extremely easy to use (and very affordable). Even though a lot of people have told us to raise our prices I think it is paradoxical to charge over $3k+ for a tool that is supposed to help you increase your profit. That's why Stella is only $2k per month. Thats it..
