Tata Elxsi to hire at least 1,500 engineering freshers Tata Elxsi plans to hire 1,500 to 2,000 engineering freshers in FY25, depending on deals and revenue. Despite a slight drop in profit, the company's revenue rose to Rs 905 crore in Q4 FY24. It had hired over 2,000 freshers in FY23 and aims to maintain growth without reducing margins. Design and technology services firm Tata Elxsi plans to hire 1,500 to 2,000 engineering freshers in FY25, Moneycontrol reports. The company had hired 2,135 young professionals in FY23. And this year, around 1,535 professionals were recruited, CEO and MD Manoj Raghavan says. In its earnings call, the company also shared that the approach for lateral hiring will be need-based. According to the management, freshers will also be hired based on the company’s deals activity and revenue performance. good opportunity

I have huge respect for those companies that allow students to use their opportunity to grab a job at their dream company towards their end of Engineering. At this point, in most of the engineering colleges in India, irrespective of the branch, most of the students are targeting the tech roles but when companies prefer only students from CS/IT backgrounds, it's discouraging for the students of other branches. I agree, that we are in a trend of Software jobs, even though most of the Engineering colleges (Tier-II/Tier-III) have AI, DataScience, MachineLearning branches established to adapt to the latest tech and job market. However, some students are well-trained in their core domain through subject expertise and also want to gain equal knowledge in the CS/IT domain. I met a few people who come from a Mech/EEE/Civil background who can equally compete with CS/IT core which comes from their interest.
