The movement to change the world one shirt at a time. One person is a time is here Be the first to get involved at tidi4life.org In these last 72 hours I have learned a new level of respect for other people's professions. In that 72 hours I have finished my draft 1 of my site. Please be kind to the site as I am not a web developer or photographer. If you want to support the site the best way is to buy a shirt not sell me a service. My funds go to pay me for the work I do making the shirts and prepping them for sale. It is crucial for me to put my money where my mouth is. That is why I donate no matter if business is good, bad, in for years or just starting like I am. If is sell one shirt or a 1,000 there will be a donation to the local food kitchen. In this journey I have learned that regardless of our personal or political stance of a job or degree we have to respect the hours of dedication it takes to craft that skill and make it a profession. That is something I have found the hard way of working all the pieces of this project to build empowerment through vibrant tie dyes. Without funds to grow from sales all I have right now goes to keeping the roof over my head and building up fresh new creations. Regardless together we can empower the youth in our community. One risk factor at a time. One person at a time. One shirt at a time. #community #leadership #coaching #careerdevelopment #leadershipdevelopment #giving #foodinsecurity .

Have you ever seen a video online that made you tear up, hit like, and desperately want to be part of the cause it championed? This was it for me. This video perfectly demonstrates the power of influencer marketing for good. Influencer marketing isn't new, and many organizations have been leveraging this strategy, but there are still areas that need refining. Imagine watching an influencer talk about a cause they're clearly not passionate about—it would leave you with a weird feeling, right? This is why storytelling is crucial in influencer marketing. The most important factor is ensuring that the influencers involved genuinely care about the cause. Authenticity is key. Influencers should have a history of supporting the cause or at least be vocally passionate about it. When an influencer has a genuine connection to the cause, their content feels more believable and relatable. Take Enioluwa, for example. This isn't his first time getting involved in social good, and watching him bring others on board is seriously inspiring. What he has done is a perfect example of how organizations can combine powerful storytelling with the right influencers to create campaigns that make a real impact on the cause itself. When it comes to social impact, the spotlight should be less on the organization and more on the cause. I’d love to see more organizations pushing real causes through well-told stories and with influencers who truly align with their mission. Have you seen a successful collaboration between brands and influencers for social good? Let's talk about it in the comments! #socialgood #socialimpact #causemarketing #corporatesocialresponsibility (#CSR) #nonprofitmarketing

Did you know that 8,982 young people aged 10-17 were under youth justice supervision during the year in Australia? AND that while First Nations people represent only 4% of Australian population, 57% of young people in detention are First Nations young people? UnLtd. 's #AdlandBailOut aims to break this cycle of youth incarceration. The funds raised from Adland Bail Out go towards effective programs operated by UnLtd’s charity partners. Programs that are designed to help keep kids out of jail through holistic support, help young people navigate the court system through court and legal support and help young people currently incarcerated to develop skills and alternative pathways to successfully transition back into community. Our own Abby Bacon is taking part this year to raise funds for this important cause. https://lnkd.in/gtpz9ZUB Sources: AIHW, Youth justice in Australia 2021-22 report; NSW Minister for Youth Justice, July 2023

While I have been locked out, and definitely locked-in a few times, I've never yet been locked up. This changes on Thursday as I am taking part in the Adland Bailout and will spend the night in prison for Charity. The data on this is overwhelming: • 8,982 young people aged 10-17 were under youth justice supervision during the year in Australia (AIHW, 2023) • Whilst First Nations people represent only 4% of Australian population, 57% of young people in detention are First Nations young people (AIHW, 2024) • Imprisoning young people causes a 'revolving door' of incarceration with 85% returning within 12 months when released from sentenced detention (AIHW, 2023) • It costs over $1 million per year, per young person in prison in NSW (NSW Parliament, 2023) - In order for me to be released out the next morning, I need to raise $1,250 bail and I need your help! Please support me to help raise some much-needed funds and awareness to help keep kids out of jail. All donations are tax deductible. Thank you for your generosity! The funds raised from Adland Bail Out go towards effective programs to break the cycle of youth incarceration operated by UnLtd’s charity partners. Programs that are designed to help keep kids out of jail through holistic support, help young people navigate the court system through court and legal support and help young people currently incarcerated to develop skills and alternative pathways to successfully transition back into community. https://lnkd.in/eU7GnUhJ #juveniledetention #charity #prisons

With 48 hours left before heading to jail, I'm raising funds for Adland Bail Out. Your donations can make a difference in breaking the cycle of youth incarceration. Australia imprisons children as young as 10, with 8,982 young people aged 10-17 under youth justice supervision. Incarceration often leads to a 'revolving door' of reoffending, with 85% of young people returning within 12 months. Shockingly, 57% of detained young people are First Nations individuals, despite representing only 4% of the Australian population. Support the cause by donating at https://lnkd.in/gRwRte8V. Let's make a positive impact together. All credit to UnLtd. for organizing this initiative. #YouthJustice #AdlandBailOut #BreakTheCycle
