Happy Friday the 13th, friends! Some people see this day as unlucky 🐈⬛ but I think it’s the perfect time to flip the script and take control—especially when it comes to your career. Here are 3 career lessons inspired by the superstitions of this spooky day: 1️⃣ Watch out for cracks in the foundation. Just like avoiding cracks on the sidewalk, make sure you’re not ignoring cracks in your career satisfaction. Take stock of your current role—what’s missing? What’s energizing? Use this as a moment to think about how to fill those gaps! 2️⃣ Break the mirror—of assumptions. Seven years of bad luck? Not if you shatter outdated thinking about your career path! Remember, up isn’t the only way 🚀. Lateral moves, stretch projects, or even realignment can open doors you didn’t know existed. 3️⃣ Cross that path—courageously. Black cats might cross your path, but let them! Sometimes taking risks—like having a career conversation or pursuing a new opportunity—is the best way to grow. Don’t wait for someone else to light the path; take the first step. Embrace today as a chance to rewrite your narrative. Who knows? Friday the 13th could be your lucky day🍀for growth! How will you challenge career superstitions today? 💡 Share below—I’d love to hear your thoughts! #CareerDevelopment #LoveEmOrLoseEm #FridayThe13th

What a year it's been? We all crave challenges – something that nudges us out of routine and into growth. For me, it was shifting from a 9-year journey as a recruiter, a journey filled with successes and #heartwarming stories to a different role, something challenging. The truth about challenges is that they’re often uncomfortable, messy, and full of uncertainty but look cute from a distance. This past year has stretched me in so many ways, bringing moments of joy, resilience, learning – and a few “cute” failures😜. I learned to listen deeply, be courageous, and take constructive criticism, even when it stung and shake off what I didn’t need to carry. Through it all, I’ve come to see that discomfort is a powerful teacher, refining us like gold. I finally feel refined and ready to rest, recharge, and welcome the new year with open arms. If you’re facing a tough challenge, lean into it. Trust that each bit of discomfort is a step toward growth. Soon, you’ll find your footing, and it will all be worth it. How was your year? what are some of your most significant lessons learned or accomplishments? #MondayMotivation #HappyMonday #CareerGrowth #Mzansitalent #Careeradvice #Growthmindset #Mentalstrength #Mystory

Someone recently asked me- ‘what if you’re not happy with where you’re at in 5 years?’ It reminded me of people who changed career paths at 35, started their own business at 50, or just quit their jobs and decided to move to an entirely different city, with no set reasoning. All of them told me, “You’re young, and have this entire life ahead of you, you get to figure out what you want, and how you want to do it. If you’re not happy with it, that’s the best part about being in this decade, you always have the option to change.” If you’re not happy with where you’re heading, question why. Why you aren’t loving the present, what are the things you’d like to change, and the best part about being in the present. Then figure out the right way to keep the things that make you happy, and change the things that don’t. Utilise your skillsets to be the best version of yourself. It’s never too late to learn something new. Here’s a picture of me witnessing a sunrise! It just reminded me that there’s always something beautiful and mesmerising about new beginnings! :) #CareerGrowth #SelfImprovement #CareerChange #PersonalDevelopment #LifeLessons #SkillsForSuccess #MindsetMatters #Motivation #LinkedInCommunity

Two points from this article that really resonated with me 1) The purpose of life is to discover your gift. The work of life is to develop it. The meaning of life is to give your gift away. 2) Get to the micro level by considering what you want the details of your daily routines to look like. Yesterday, I took the time to outline my ideal day, even though I'm currently far from achieving it. By putting it into writing, I feel a sense of accountability, motivating me to strive towards making that ideal day a reality. https://lnkd.in/gH8qr-7J

This is my favorite season! It's not Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall. 👇 I don't just help instruct everyday leaders on how to strategically identify their season in life - I follow my own program. Why? Because it works for me - and I am entering my favorite season. 👉 Opportunity season! What is an Opportunity Season? It is a 90-Day Period in which I have identified through a strategic framework, I identified that I would like to expand my self-awareness, reframe my mindset this season, utilize strategic intent, challenge fear and take massive action by creating or taking opportunities outside my comfort zone. Why is this my favorite season? 🤔 It holds endless possibilities. This next 90-day season will call for me to be courageous, resilient, creative and let's face it - to have some fun. Here is how you can identify what season you are going into in your life: 👉 Ask yourself: What am I ambitious about? Where do I see my life in 5-years (Vision)? Write down only one BIG, 3 ,2 and 1 year goal aligned with your vision. Now write down what you have to do in the next 90-days to get you closer to that 1-year goal. Repeat every 90-days. The strategy is literally that simple. Will you sit down for an hour today and answer the above questions?

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗚𝗼 𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱. Have you ever set your sights on a goal, only to have it slip through your fingers?🤔 It’s a common experience in both our personal and professional lives, and it can leave us feeling defeated. But what if I told you that not getting what you want might be the best thing that could happen to you? A few years ago, I faced a major setback that changed everything. I had my heart set on a career milestone, poured countless hours into preparation, and envisioned the day it would become a reality. Then, just like that, it didn't happen. I was devastated.🙍♀️ But here's the twist🪢 That disappointment led me to an unexpected opportunity. In the process of reevaluating my path, I stumbled upon a new direction that I hadn’t considered before. This detour opened doors I never knew existed, leading to personal and professional growth beyond my original aspirations. Reflecting on that experience, I realized that the setbacks and unmet goals were not failures but redirections. They pushed me to explore new avenues, develop resilience, and ultimately find a path that was even more fulfilling than what I had initially planned. So, the next time things don't go as planned, pause and look for the hidden opportunities. Sometimes, God has something even better in store for us. Have you ever faced a setback that led to something unexpectedly great? I'd love to hear your stories. #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerJourney #Resilience #LinkedInCommunity
