Meet Red Bull Racing's newest driver: Liam Lawson has just been announced as the new driver for Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology. The announcement for Lawson's signing came the day after the team announced Sergio Perez's departure. To date, Lawson has raced for RB, scoring 6 points over 11 Grand Prix entries. Whilst Lawson is new to Formula 1 , he has managed to make the Top 10 three times now, and has even finished within the top 5. According to Christian Horner: "Liam's performances over the course of his two stints with Racing Bulls have demonstrated that he's not only capable of delivering strong results but that he's also a real racer, not afraid to mix it with the best and come out on top." I personally cannot wait to see what Lawson is like racing alongside Verstappen. How do you think Lawson will fair in the 2025 season? Stay tuned for any further updates. #industryinsights #motorsport #fsuk #formula1 #teamupdates #socialmedia #RedBull #redbullracing #2025

🔴RACE RESULT🔴 PWA Simracing EWC – R2: 6 hours at Watkins Glen Well that was a mild disaster. Somehow we get a podium out of a completely botched race. In qualifying, technical issues and the Porsche 963s non-existant mechanical grip made life difficult, nonetheless we started from the front row. Staying with the leaders through crazy traffic, it was a high-intensity race with high-intensity micro-lags until a little mistake in the chicane completely demolished our car. These are the moments when you’re thankful for a fast-repair. From there on it was a race for damage limitation, scraping together any points available. After three and a half hours we had a second incident, got wrecked by traffic and, on top of that, collected a penalty for speeding in the pits, which did not help either. That was the absolute low-point of the season so far, but what comes down must go back up. The traffic was an absolute lottery, and in the second half of the race, others drew the crashing ticket, too. We got gifted three positions and recovered some ground, which was enough for P3 and a lot of points in the bag. All-in-all, it could have gone worse, although we did have the overall race-winning pace; that’s endurance racing. We have at least retained our slimmed-down championship lead. Next race is a 12-hour event at Spa on November 30th! #144 R. Schwanke, V. 🏆 25 World Championships 🏁 Over 200 race wins 🎯 130+ Pole Positions ⚡ 150+ Fastest Laps Nobody has won more than Adrian Newey in Formula 1. This contribution to the sport stands at nearly 20% of all-time wins in the sport. Earlier this week, Aston Martin F1 Team officially announced Newey as their managing technical partner, set to lead the redesign of their 2025 car and drive the team toward the top of Formula 1. The 65-year-old has signed a long-term contract and will also become a shareholder in the team. Why is this set to shake things up? 1. Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology lose their technical genius of 19 years; "Losing Newey would of course be a big disadvantage, also because it would mean that another team would then get him,” Helmut Marko said. “In that case, he takes with him not only the knowledge, but also an incredible wealth of experience." 2. The wealth of experience is directly translated to Aston Martin, a team owned by Lawrence Stroll, who are heavily investing in the right people and resources to be on top of the grid. A car driven by Fernando Alonso, arguably, the best driver considered by many on the grid, is the other piece of the puzzle, which is already in place. 3. Opening new doors: Max Verstappen is currently chasing his 4th consecutive world title in a Newey-designed car. Although he is in the lead at the moment, the decline in Red Bull's performance post Newey's sign-off is observable. Would Verstappen be keeping an eye on the movement within the 2026 Aston Martin camp? Only time will tell. Will Newey’s move shift the balance of power in Formula 1?
