Manufacturing, quality, software and automation engineers are in high demand in the UK! If you work in the industry you're probably sick and tired of hearing from recruiters. I totally get the notion of wanting to bypass the recruiter and applying directly to the role. However, the benefit of working with me is that I'm the first to know about my clients new roles before they advertise them. And I know if you'd actually be interested to hear about them. I know my clients and my candidates well. At Primaire, we're scrutinious with our process and we only match candidates with our clients if we genuinely beleive they'll be a mutually good match. Which goes beyond salary and location. I will not call my candidates if I'm not sure they will be interested in the role and they will be a great match for the client. It's a waste of time, and it means candidates lose trust that you know what you're doing! At Primaire, we have a 97% on our placements (based on first 12 months) So I'm pretty confident I can find my candidates a role they'll be happy in. If you want to partner with a recruiter who can represent you and find you the best roles in a competitive market, drop me a message! #engineering #engineers #hiring

The top thing companies are focusing on when hiring engineers right now is 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆. But it’s holding them back. Some blue chips – won’t look at anyone without a certain level of maintenance-related qualification. Regardless of experience. Say there’s someone with a level 2 who has 20 years of experience and good longevity in their CV. They won’t even look to interview them, even though they might be a better fit than a level 3 engineer, with less experience. Health and safety should be paramount, but there should be exceptions made when an engineer has exceptional levels of experience. Along with a slightly lower level of qualification. Do you agree with this? Should engineers without the up-to-date H&S be instantly disqualified from the selection process? #Engineering #Recruiting #HealthAndSafety

Why Industrial Engineers Are the MVPs of Continuous Improvement Industrial engineers are the unsung heroes of continuous improvement projects. Whether it’s streamlining processes, boosting productivity, or reducing costs, these professionals combine technical know-how with strategic thinking to drive tangible results. 💡 But here’s the challenge: recruiting top-tier industrial engineers isn’t always straightforward. As a recruiter who lives and breathes staffing, I’ve seen hiring managers grapple with two key issues: 1️⃣ Identifying candidates with the right mix of analytical skills and hands-on experience. 2️⃣ Convincing these in-demand professionals to join their team, especially when the competition is fierce. So, how can you attract industrial engineers who will hit the ground running? Let’s break it down: 1. Highlight the Impact They’ll Make 📈 Industrial engineers thrive when they can see their work making a difference. During the hiring process, focus on how their efforts will contribute to real-world improvements—whether it’s reducing production time, optimizing workflows, or improving employee safety. Let them know they’ll have a tangible impact. 2. Flexibility is a Must 🧩 Many industrial engineers look for roles where they can wear multiple hats. When describing the job, emphasize the variety in responsibilities—projects in logistics, quality control, or even supply chain management. A dynamic work environment can be a huge draw. 3. Keep the Interview Process Engaging 🤝 Top talent doesn’t stick around for long. Create a recruitment process that respects their time while showcasing your company’s culture. Give candidates opportunities to connect with key stakeholders and even see ongoing improvement projects if possible. Recruiting industrial engineers isn’t just about filling a vacancy—it’s about finding the innovators who will elevate your operations. Want to know the best part? When you get it right, you’re not just hiring an employee; you’re gaining a strategic partner for growth. 🌟 What qualities do you think make an industrial engineer a standout hire? Drop your thoughts in the comments! I’d love to hear your perspective. I’m Orlando, a partner at KBOtek, where I specialize in helping hiring managers find exceptional talent. I find it odd, and extremely frustrating, that a company who is looking for Engineering talent is willing to disqualify a candidate for being overqualified for a role. If the candidate is happy with the posted payscale and the job description, you should not be disqualifying them for being "too senior" in their experiences. You should interview this person and then make a judgement call based off that conversation. Not a blanket denial for having too much background in the field. Entry Level roles are not 3-5+ years of experience, that is a solid Intermediate verging on Senior level position.

Stop measuring engineers' experience by years. I know it's convenient, especially for recruiters with little technical knowledge. But it means nothing. An engineer can do the same thing for 20 years without being good at it. Others deliver exceptional output in no time. They bring talent, curiosity, and a strong knowledge of tech fundamentals. Want a high-performing IT department? Find the right talent. Conduct proper assessments. #recruiting #hiring #softwareengineering

Overqualified engineers can be your secret weapon. Hiring "overqualified" engineers might seem risky, but it can actually be a great decision. These engineers bring a wealth of experience, can mentor others, and are often excellent problem-solvers. They can also introduce new ideas and help your company grow. To ensure they stay happy and motivated, provide clear career paths, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional development. By embracing the potential of overqualified candidates, you're investing in a powerhouse of talent that can drive innovation and growth in your organisation. #PioneerSelection #automation #business #engineering #industry #logistics #manufacturing #manufacturinguk #production #ShoutAboutUKmfg #supplychain #UKBusinesssupport #SupportUKmfg #togetherwearestronger #ukeng #ukgov #ukmanufacturing #UKmanufacturing #UKmfg
