Over the last year, Oakmount & Partners transitioned from raising expansion capital for third parties to building its diverse asset bank. With a current company valuation between £15 and £18 million, we aim to achieve a valuation of 4/5 times this amount over the next 5 years. Glenn discussed our recent acquisition of over £4 million in real estate, which reflects our robust portfolio expansion and is targeted at staycation and holiday letting retreats, traditional buy-to-lets, and commercial property. King highlighted our five-year plan to raise £50 million, primarily for investments in property, green technologies, and transformative industries. We are strategically acquiring distressed properties and considering additional exposure to green technology investments as part of our broader sustainability goals. Additionally, King mentioned the launch of Oakmount's product offerings on an FCA-regulated platform, targeting high-net-worth individuals, IFA's and wealth managers. There was quite a bit on recently and we missed the opportunity to cover the recent announcement that Waverton Investment Management and London & Capital Wealth Management had merged. This represents a significant event with the creation of a £17bn wealth business in the UK. PE firm Lovell Minnick Partners LLC will expand its original investment in L&C in 2022 to a majority holding in the combined group alongside Somers Limited which will continue as a significant shareholder in the new business having held a majority stake in Waverton since 2013. The combined group will leverage L&C's international clients being one of a handful of UK firms with UK & US permissions and alongside Waverton's own US permissions will expand its provision of planning and discretionary solutions & services to clients. MK2 has bagged a prime roadside retail investment for client St Johns Property High Income Fund. The fund has acquired Hinton Group UK's interest in Copcut Business Park, Droitwich. The development opportunity comprises a supermarket and drive-thru, pre-let to Sainsbury's and Costa Coffee. The scheme, which fronts Copcut Rise, also includes four electric vehicle charging stations. Both Sainsbury’s and Costa have agreed 15-year leases, on 4,500 sq ft and 1,800 sq ft respectively. Total rent will be £265,000 per annum. The scheme will be built by Hinton Design & Build Limited. Enabling works are underway, with completion anticipated early 2025. Mark Rooke, director at MK2, said: “High profile forward-funding opportunities like this don’t come up too often.
