At Be Bold we believe strongly that businesses have a responsibility to do what they can for the communities they are part of. That’s why we support a variety of groups, individuals, initiatives and events with both financial backing and by donating our expertise. We're really chuffed that our latest round of support goes to helping the development of grassroots football for girls and in particular up and coming Newport under-12 team, the Panthers. Managing director Amy Bould said: “This sponsorship opportunity was a perfect match for us. Aside from the fact that we are all a bit football mad at Be Bold, the team train on a weekly basis just across the road from our office.” “It’s always a privilege to be able to support community organisations and sports teams and Newport Girls is no exception. “With girls’ football really gaining momentum due to the inspiration and success of our national Lionesses team, we are really excited to be supporting the next generation of football talent. “The value of clubs like Newport Girls to the local community is huge and we wish the team every success this coming season." #PRforgood

Delighted that this is out. The vast majority of football clubs will never publish anything close to a strategy, so for both the Dons Trust Board and AFCW PLC to get this out is a really important sign of our determination to bring everyone along on the journey, but also the transparency with which we operate. I hope others follow. https://lnkd.in/ezXebcpr #afcw #afcwimbledon #footballbusiness #footballfinance

Video is a great medium for charities wishing to highlight their impact, and this is a great example! I was sent this by Kieran Connolly and wanted to share it to show what can be achieved with visual storytelling using video. A glossy report full of professionally captured images, a well developed written narrative, case studies, and testimonials would do a fantastic job of showcasing the work and successes of Sports Fun 4 All (and I'd recommend investing in that, if it's not already being done) but seeing and hearing it in video form like this makes for a more emotional and human connection. Not only that, research and anecdotal evidence suggests that people increasingly prefer to consume content in the form of video. Anyway, here it is, take a look and see for yourselves https://lnkd.in/e-FJpqtb And well done to Keiran and team, this kind of community sports initiative is really important - I know from a previous connection to AFC Fylde Foundation in Lancashire that it's not just about getting young people into physical activity and allowing them to develop sporting skills, it helps in all sorts of other ways too, from fostering a sense of community, teaching social skills, healthy eating, and keeping them out of trouble, to giving parents and carers some respite and enabling young people to acquire skills and behaviours that will boost employability in later life.

The Football Association has launched a five-year, landmark strategy to grow and develop grassroots football in England. Called ‘A Thriving Grassroots Game’, the new strategy aims to support sustainable growth over the next four years, with projections anticipating a further 220,000 new players across 15,000 new teams by 2028. There is also a target of creating 300 new synthetic turf pitches to ensure games and training can go ahead during the winter months. The strategy has been developed in collaboration with the County FA network and follows what the FA describes as “the biggest ever consultation process with the grassroots game across England”. The document sets out a direction of travel for grassroots football in England and outlines five priority areas. These are: ⚽ Improving playing choice and opportunity ⚽ Deliver equal opportunities for women and girls to play ⚽ Build more, and improve existing, facilities ⚽ Tackle poor behaviour ⚽ Develop a valued network of volunteers, coaches and referees FA CEO, Mark Bullingham, said: “Grassroots football has incredible power to unite communities, improve lives and inspire positive change. “Over the next four years we will transform the landscape of our grassroots game by investing in more new quality grass pitches to reach our 12,000 target, alongside over 300 new artificial pitches." Season 2 Kits for Clubs is now live. To date we have given away 6,000+ high quality football kits free of charge to clubs around the world, teams who share a passion for the sport but do not necessarily have the support or access to facilities that so many take for granted. Uniting football and fashion remains integral to our plans, building communities at all levels, spanning grassroots clubs, community projects, collaborations and pro football teams. The progress that has been made in that last 9 months has been great to see, with many new doors opening and many new projects on the horizon, but at the start remains Kits for Clubs and our commitment to support those that need it. Football really is powerful, we see this with so many iterations of jerseys as fashion items around the globe and the pull of the Premier League, but we have always retained that football is for the fans, the people that really make the game. The fact is that grassroots remains underfunded and many teams go without, Kits for Clubs is there to support and as our community grows, so will our commitment to grassroots. Great work from the Ben Gunn, Scot Bowman and John Ford and Kosmico FC. https://lnkd.in/ezmQND_U @louisbever for the amazing images. https://lnkd.in/eZR6u8pS

The Power of Sponsorships and Associations in Grassroots Football ⚽ Grassroots football is more than just a game; it’s a platform for nurturing talent, fostering community, and inspiring dreams. Yet, for grassroots football leagues to truly thrive, they need more than just passion – they need strong partnerships. 🤝 Sponsorships and associations play a pivotal role in fueling the growth of grassroots football. Here’s why they matter: ▶️ Empowering Local Talent: Financial backing provides resources for better coaching, equipment, and facilities, helping young players unlock their full potential. ▶️ Building a Stronger Community: Partnerships bring people together. Superb cause and a superb post from my good friend Jason Costello If you or someone you know has been affected by #MND or you want to passively or actively back a positive mission of hope, then read the post below.
Head of Marketing at acceptcards UK's largest Independent Payments Broker 💳💷-Trustee at ROKT Foundation 🧗-Board Member at Brighouse Town AFC ⚽
Saturday night under the lights at Old Trafford...... The first #FootballAgainstMND Gala Dinner went into full swing, supporting the great work of The Mel Evans MBE Foundation and the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. Football legends, soap stars, rugby heroes, journalists along with scientific boffins (proper term) who are committed to advancing a cure for MND through research and trials were joined by MND warriors, their families, friends and supporters who in standing strong and BANGING 🥁together shows the power the MND Community has in helping move the dial against this cruel disease. Great night with Caroline Quick, Mike Wilson Sally Wilson Steve Wood Charlotte Morris, John Coleman, Chris Kirkland and his family A special thank you must go to United’s Nicky Butt and Corrie star Daniel Brocklebank for letting me interrupt their evening to share an idea with them but more so for their kindness in making it happen without hesitation 🙏 A powerful and life-affirming night filled with laughter, wonderment, tears and inspiration that showed it’s our friendships are key when you’re going through the biggest of life challenges, but when coupled with the kindness of people we don’t know or may never meet then we really do create a superpower that can help drive and deliver hope. There is a saying you hear a lot “It's the #HOPE that kills us”. I beg to differ, as I think it's the lack of #HOPE that will break us. With the likes of Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, The Mel Evans MBE Foundation, Lynn Pritchatt, Richard Brailsford, Steph Houghton MBE, Mike Wilson, Filipe Morais, Louise & Marcus Stewart, My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, Ian Flatt, David Setters Lindsay Burrow, Kev Sinfield & Dame Professor Pamela Shaw leading the charge for team #AttackMND……….. I’m hopeful 💪❤️ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If any good people who read this post can help drive more #HOPE with sponsorship of a stage maybe a core walker in #MarchOfDay2 or want to get walking yourself hit the link in the comments or speak to Mike Wilson who will help make that a reality 🥁🚶🚶♂️➡️🚶♀️➡️🚶➡️🚶♂️🥁 #MND #FootballAgainstMND #Charity #Research #Community #Hope
