As the electric vehicle (EV) market continues to grow, consumer preferences are evolving rapidly. Here are some key trends to watch: 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: With advancements in battery technology, EVs are offering longer ranges. According to a recent study, the average range of EVs has increased by 26.1% in the past year. 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴: Government incentives and decreasing battery costs are making EVs more accessible to a wider range of consumers. For example, in the United States, the average price of an EV has decreased by 24.8% over the past five years. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: EVs are becoming increasingly powerful and enjoyable to drive. Many consumers now rate the driving experience of EVs as comparable or even superior to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles. 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀: Consumers are increasingly prioritizing EVs as a sustainable and ethical transportation choice. A new study from Juniper Research has found that the total number of electric vehicle (EV) charging points globally will grow by 194% to 64-million over the next five years, up from 21.8-million this year. The research found that private EV sales have slowed in the last year owing to a number of factors, including range anxiety and governments cutting back on EV purchase subsidies for consumers. It urges service stations and retail outlets to take advantage of any relevant government EV charge point initiatives by installing rapid direct current chargers where possible.
