Associates Week Day 4 wrap up - We are common people doing uncommon things Today I participated in the most bizarre business meeting of my career. We (Canadian team) had a 2.5 hours meeting with our C-level team, part of it dedicated to a Q&A session. I was expecting shop talk. Oh boy, I was wrong. The meeting was about personal histories. They shared theirs, a bunch of us shared ours. A reminder of what we all are - people trying to do their best, succeeding sometimes, failing sometimes, needing encouragement when we feel afraid, feeling the pressure of multiple demands and the excitement of helping other people grow; we are in paths that are not the result of a well defined plan, but are forged as we go and life happens. #shareholders2024 #shareholdersCA2024

On Friday we exhibited at #LBE2024 Merchandise 4 Impact Do you know what was really lovely? The number of people who came over to our stand asked if I was Laura Hartley and said I had placed them in a job 😁 They remembered me, most of them I remembered too. Some of them have been in my life one way or another for years. Sara Knagg - Whiteley being one of them. From starting out as a temp, she went on to secure a perm position and grew with the business, booking her temps through us. Sara continued in developing herself and built a career to be proud of. Now Sara is a Merchandise 4 Impact client 😄 funny how things evolve. I feel a proud, warm and fuzzy when people say "it is because of you..." it isn't because of me, it is because they took the opportunity presented to them, showed up and made the good stuff happen. I feel proud of what they have achieved, and I played a very small part in that. Meeting Sara on friday and a few of the others, I do feel a bit nostalgic of some of the placements I made over the last 20+ years. From the lady with no office skills at all, she went perm into an accountants scanning documents. No other agency would offer her any work. Another candidate had hospitality management experience but wanted a 9-5 job, he said he would do anything. I called him and offered him a job stuffing envelopes. He was a brilliant temp. He is now in senior position in education. Some of you will know this story 😂 again no other agency would entertain him because he was a high earner and couldn't see past his previous salary and what was really important to him. Quickest placement goes to Chris Durham ✅ met the client to take the brief day one, mentioned Chris, interview and offer the follwoing day, with a start on Monday. I even remember my first placement, the candidate, client, month and fee 🤣 Helen Barton Lisa Brady Helen Jackson Jaydee Davis would love for you to share one recruitment story that sticks in your mind #relationships #opportunities #standout

Remember the people that helped you on your path! Had a great catch up today with Laura Hartley AMInstLM to discuss new opportunities and our merchandise needs for the business. However, it was a lovely opportunity to remember how our paths first crossed. In 2006 (ish) Laura placed me in the job that started me on the path that has lead to where I am now. To say I'm grateful is an understatement, the opportunities that arose from that first placement, has helped me carve the path to being the successful Director I am today.

We get asked all the time, what makes working with your staffing company or law firm different? It’s easy, our culture and mission. We are a collective relentlessly dedicated to placing 1 million jobs and representing 1 million people. It’s one thing to talk culture, it’s another thing to let people peek into it. A few weeks ago, we held our 3 year anniversary with our 106 internal staff across my law firm Ethen Ostroff ⚖️ and our staffing companies Attorney Assistant and Turn Key Ops. The energy in this video isn’t just for anniversaries—it’s who we are every single day. Our people love where they work, and that passion shows in everything we do. When we partner with your business, this isn’t just about staffing. It’s about culture transfer. When you hire one of our people, we expect out of our people the same level of work and effort that we would ask out of them as an internal employee. 👉 If someone isn’t a fit for our culture, we won’t present them to you. 👉 If they’re not delivering A-player work that we would expect, we’ll help co-manage the staff and suggest replacement proactively if necessary. Thank you to all of you who have given our people a life changing opportunity. We are so grateful for you. Feel free to check out the 3-year anniversary video here:

Day 3 of our paid work experience with UK Youth: Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Dom and Zak from Bullhorn, who shared their journeys from childhood to sales management 👏. Our participants were engaged, asking loads of questions and showing great interest 🤔💬. Dom and Zak also discussed early talent opportunities at Bullhorn and what they look for in new hires 🎓. They encouraged everyone to connect with them on LinkedIn and promised to share upcoming job opportunities 💼. A great question was raised about diversity at Bullhorn, and Dom and Zak’s response was inspiring. As a London-based company 🌍, they’re committed to ensuring their workforce reflects the city’s diversity 🌈, with employees growing from entry-level roles to leadership 🚀. It’s a commitment to diversity that, unfortunately, many other organisations can’t match. Looking forward, Dom and Zak are keen to host another session, possibly at their offices 🏢, to see our team in action and offer further guidance. Today’s session highlighted why Bullhorn is a leader in their industry—they do things differently from most companies 💪. If you’d like to be like Bullhorn and get involved, send me a DM! #UKYouth #Bullhorn #Careers #Diversity #Opportunities

Well said Kenny! Putting key training milestones in place for new starters not only gives them the skills they need but also highlights the importance the company and its leaders put on service standards and doing the job right. The momentum gained from a team of engaged and motivated employees is huge. My training is built around empowering people working in Estate Agency to succeed and advance their careers from the outset. #estateagency #estateagencytraining #investinpeople #estateagencyconsultant #londonproperty
First impressions count! That’s why our negotiators play such an important role—they’re often the first point of contact for our company and help set the tone for the entire sales experience. I'm a big believer in proper training, making sure trainee team members feel confident, on-brand, and ready to do a great job. When you set people up for success, they can grow and have a positive effect right from day one! #FirstImpressionsMatter #TraineeNegotiator #TrainingMatters #SetUpForSuccess #InvestInPeople The Stow Brothers #goadbros

It's my 1st work anniversary at Cost Cutters UK 🎈 Reflecting on the past 12 months, I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. Transitioning from the automotive industry, where I'd spent 9 years, to the world of furniture was a leap of faith. Initially, I was stepping into unfamiliar territory, unsure of what to expect. But from my very first conversations with Dawn Wills & Spencer Courage, I sensed something special about this opportunity. Their vision, passion, and commitment to growth resonated deeply with me, and I knew I was in the right place to elevate my career. Every single day (and I mean EVERY single day) since then has been a journey of discovery. I've embraced the challenges, pushed my boundaries, and expanded my skill set beyond what I thought was possible. Thanks to the support and investment from the company, I've experienced exponential growth, both personally and professionally. In just 12 months, I've learned more than I ever imagined, and I'm hungry for more! Here's to many more years of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. #WorkAnniversary #CareerGrowth #CostCuttersUK #LearningAndDevelopment
