In a world that’s filled with uncertainty and constantly hearing negative comments regarding the economy, it was refreshing to see our local market trader thriving yesterday, selling eggs. I love seeing small retailers succeed, and it got me thinking—what drives repeat business? Is it the quality of service, reliability, value, product quality, or maybe a combination of all these factors?! (The queue went on, and on, and they hadn’t even opened!) #SmallBusiness #CustomerLoyalty #SupportLocal #BusinessGrowth #market #quality #value #eggs #value

🔍 Unlock the secrets of balance sheet analysis with insights from Warren Buffett, one of the greatest investors of all time! 💰✨ Let’s explore his five essential rules for evaluating a company's financial health. 📊✅ 1️⃣ Cash vs Debt: Compare a company's cash balance to its debt. 💵 A company with more cash than debt signifies strong cash generation and a sound financial footing! 🚀 2️⃣ Debt-to-Equity Ratio: Maintain a ratio below 0.8! 📉 This indicates lower financial risk and a preference for equity financing over debt. 3️⃣ Avoid Preferred Stock: Buffett emphasizes the importance of not having preferred stock on the balance sheet for a robust financial standing. 🚫🏦 4️⃣ Growth in Retained Earnings: Look for consistent growth in retained earnings. 📈 This is a sign that a company is generating profits and reinvesting them wisely! 🌱 5️⃣ Real-World Example - Chipotle: With $1.42 billion in cash and no debt, Chipotle showcases strong liquidity! 🌟 Although its debt-to-equity ratio sits at 1.2 due to long-term leases, adjustments reveal alignment with Buffett's principles. 📊 They have also grown retained earnings and returned capital to shareholders through treasury stock buybacks! 🔄💸 💡 #WarrenBuffett #Finance #Business #Investing #BalanceSheet #Tips #FS

PYPL reported 1Q24 earnings results early this morning, achieving a net revenue increase of 9% Y/Y to $7.7B, ahead of consensus guidance of $7.5B and EPS of $1.08 with a 27% increase Y/Y but below estimates of $1.22. Total payment volume or TPV this quarter is up 14% Y/Y and down 1% QoQ to $1,763M reflecting also similar flat QoQ growth on payment transactions per active account. We’re still waiting to see a more substantial active account growth QoQ that would boost TPV. We think our positive thesis on PYPL (and upgrade earlier this quarter) will pay off in 2024 under new management, especially as more focus is shifted to its growth trajectory and profitability. Management expects 2024 adjusted profit to be up “mid-to-single-digit percentages”, a material improvement from its previous guide of adjusted profit staying flat and guides for a revenue increase of around 6% Y/Y for 2Q24. PYPL shares are up +2.2% today. Become a member of our investing group here: https://lnkd.in/eQzKuHyz #PYPL #Paypal #earnings
