What is the relation between MS Dhoni and Product Discovery? I was listening to a Product Discovery podcast over the weekend, and here's what stood out: Every product's backlog is like a list of bets. For some bets, you get to research and discover more about them; for others, you have to shoot blind and hope for the best. You can't avoid these blind shots, but you can improve your chances of getting them right. How? By following proper discovery techniques and processes whenever you can. As you train your mind by doing more discovery, it sharpens your decision-making skills, significantly increasing your success with those blind bets. You start thinking more like your customers/users. Over time, you'll make more informed decisions, improving your overall success rate. Your blind bets will start landing more accurately. Let's make Product Discovery a healthy habit. That's precisely what Thala says: "Due Process. Due Results."
That's so true. Would like to expand a little. Set your target. Create a Process, Follow the process, Learn and Improve the process. You will get the results you are looking for.
Good one as usual, Badri. BTW, I came here for Dhoni 😀.

7moNo matter how much discovery you do, you're always playing with probability. You can only estimate that the probability of a feature's success is high, but it doesn't guarantee success. In my opinion, understanding the user's pain points and conducting product discovery, along with threat analysis, is crucial before launching any feature. I hope you agree, but please correct me if I'm mistaken 🙏!
