I can't believe it's been 4 years since we purchased Country Club Apartments in Summerville, SC. This 32-unit property is one of my favorite deals I've ever done. When we bought the property, it was half vacant and it took a lot of work to turn it around. We sold the property in 2021, generating great returns for our investors. Years ago I was involved in law & best practice relating to the regeneration of GLC’s Thamesmead estate both residential & commercial property. Robin shared the other day plans by TfL to connect Thamesmead to I think Docklands Light Railway. What a boost for Bexley & Greenwich residents and businesses who live within what was the Royal Dockyards for centuries. It’s taken decades but Rome wasn’t built .. Herts County Council owns 1950 properties conservatively valued at £2 billion of which 350 are surplus to operational requirements. Herts only has a population of 1.25 million people - are those property assets really being “ sweated” properly. Hopefully Demos will provide some creative insights generally.
