I or Labs has secured more than $150 million in financing from some big time investors. The optical interconnect solutions company plans to use the funds for the high volume manufacturing of its optical IO technology. Participating investors in this round of funding include AMD Ventures, Intel Capital and NVIDIA. This round of financing brings the company's total funding to $370 million and raises the company's total value to over $1 billion. Terry Thorne, vice president of commercial. Operations at IIR Labs says this latest round of funding is a great endorsement for the company. Thorne says that when it comes to securing investments, IR Labs takes time to find the right partners that share their vision. Having those three companies invest in US and really leaning into our work is a huge boost to us both from an employee focus standpoint and, and like you say, just an endorsement of what we've been working on for a number of years and, and where we see the vision going in the future. I think our core bit. As a company was that optical solutions would be needed in computing fabrics, you know, whether that's GPUs or CPUs or accelerators or memory interfaces and not just using optics in data center network switches. These companies and and the investment we have from these companies and others endorse that vision. Going forward, Thorne says that in the long term, he expects to see a commercial ramp up in the demand for these optical solutions, with AI becoming a major driver in that rise.
