I fully agree with this. For embedded AI there is no other platform that comes close to the NVIDIA Jetsons. In recent years we helped our customers to integrate Jetsons in various applications from surgical robots, through smart city applications and smart farming systems. The Jetsons performance, quality and software support are unmatched. This is why at Grünspecht Vision Labs GmbH we chose these modules as the heart of our own edge product development. I am happy NVIDIA is committed to firmly positioning themselves in the embedded market. I don't see that anyone does with this amount of seriousness.

It's hard to put 67 TOPS for $249 into perspective, but it's like having the computing power of two iPhone 15 Pros for less than $300! For anyone working on personal projects like me, hardware like this makes everything faster, smoother, and more affordable. It's exciting to think about the creative projects and breakthroughs that will come from students getting their hands on tools like this. With the barrier to entry now even lower, students and startups in AI will be unstoppable. There are just too many of us out there ready to innovate!

Instead of analyzing raw charts from various sensors, you would receive summaries prepared by AI like: 'The machine XY123 shows symptoms of vacuum pump bearing degradation, with a 90% probability of failure within the next two weeks.' You could then ask what actions to take to prevent potential downtime and receive two or three options to choose from, such as: replacing the bearing at a specific time, rescheduling production to another plant, and so on.
