May is Partnership and Event Month! 📅 May marks the start of a blooming event season! The next months are filled with exciting events we are looking forward to attending. After all, these events always pose great occasions for exchange, learning, and networking – and getting together with our partners. This is why we want to kick off the month by putting special emphasis on the glue that holds the work together: our partnerships. 🤝💼 Over the past 19 years, we have learned that embedding interventions within robust partnerships is key to achieving our goals. As such, we actively cultivate partnerships with diverse stakeholders at both the global and country levels which allow for the pooling of resources, a stronger network of knowledge, the sharing of risks and the coordination of efforts towards common objectives. Thus, we work together in around 20 countries around the world to accelerate energy access and socio-economic development. As we join forces with governments, private sector actors, civil society groups, and other development partners, we work with the best expertise to lead, advocate, and make access to modern energy happen and benefit those most in need. As the #SDG7 clock towards 2030 ticks down, scalable solutions, implemented in tandem with like-minded partners, are more important now than ever before. Continuing to forge new collaborations and strengthen existing partnerships, we remain dedicated to our mission of leaving no one behind and facilitating the transition to higher-tier energy solutions worldwide. 🌍 Europe is quickly moving towards a climate neutral and digitally transformed future. This affects how we work, learn, participate in society and live our daily lives. Europe can only seize these opportunities if its people develop the right skills.   This is why the European Commission launched Pact for Skills. This initiative aims to support public and private organisations with upskilling and reskilling, so they can succeed in the green and digital transitions.💡   Ecorys supports the Commission to implement #PactForSkills with organizing several events. 📄Eurovent has released its 2024-2029 Manifesto, which means to unlock the potential of the European HVACR industry to contribute to a sustainable future, including quality of life, decarbonisation, and sustainable growth and employment in Europe. The Eurovent Manifesto rests on three essential recommendation pillars to policymakers from the European Commission, European Parliament and 27 Member States for the 2024-2029 legislative term. Eurovent recommends to: 👉 Create a frictionless Single Market for sustainable products 👉 Focus on the implementation of European Green Deal policies 👉 Develop a real and forceful European industrial strategy. The full extended version of the Eurovent 2024-2029 Manifesto will be available on the Eurovent website in the weeks to follow.
