🚄 Advancement in Railway Safety: TBL1+ Approved for the Belgian Network The Signalling Company (TSC), part of the Škoda Group, has certified and launched TBL1+, a new national automatic train protection system for the Belgian rail network. Developed in close collaboration with Lineas, this solution is based on the universal digital platform iEVC-RailOS. Alexandre Bétis, Managing Director of TSC, highlights: “This is an important milestone that marks the beginning of the retrofit cycle for Lineas’ HLD77 fleet. With ERA/DVIS authorization, these locomotives will be modernized to operate with TBL1+. Thanks to the already integrated BTM and Odometry functionalities, the fleet will be ready for a software-only upgrade to ETCS in 2025-2026." Kurt Coffyn, COO of Lineas, emphasizes: “TBL1+ represents the first step towards the vision of iEVC-RailOS, providing a future-proof digital platform that can adapt to the evolution of ETCS and other applications." Bruno VANLEDE, Head of Fleet Management at Lineas, adds: “This digital platform reduces costs and space, allowing for easier integration and access to a wide range of applications." With TBL1+, we are one step closer to a safer and more efficient railway future. 🌟 #Transport #Innovation #RailSafety #Technology #TSC

In Dallas for GUTMA #HarmonizedSkies on day 3. Interesting panel on automated testing using the wonderful InterUSS project will help companies ensure they can self manage implementations for USS interoperability. There are benefits to this approach, and it is excellent to see collaboration and governance within UTM. Interoperability and regression testing for it are not the same as software safety assurance. Both implementation time and runtime assurance is going to be needed for BVLOS operations at scale. The best thing we can do is to think about this now. ResilienX has an In-Time Aviation Safety Management System, that provides safety assurance that cuts across all of the pieces - the USS, DSS, SDSPs, sensors and more.

In the maritime industry, accurate asset identification and monitoring are paramount for safety and efficiency. Our cutting-edge Digital Automatic Identification Systems (DAS) offer a solution to this challenge. Can existing Buoys be retrofitted with a digital AtoN without replacing the lantern? Here's how our SRT DAS AtoNs can benefit: - Universal Compatibility and Monitoring: The SRT Das Express 3 is universally compatible with any buoy lantern, regardless of manufacturer or size, up to 3000mm in diameter. This feature allows for comprehensive monitoring and real-time reporting on lantern operational status, making it versatile for various maritime applications. - DAS Light Sensor Technology: By integrating a DAS light sensor connected to the Lantern Interface Module, the EXPRESS 3 enhances monitoring capabilities. This technology quickly detects malfunctions or off-position buoys, enabling immediate intervention and maintenance. - Real-time Information Relay via VHF: Utilizing VHF communication, the SRT Das Express 3 provides live updates on lantern status, indicating whether they are 'on' or 'off' and assessing their health. This real-time information is vital for maritime safety, facilitating early issue identification, reducing downtime, and enhancing navigation safety. - Seamless Integration with VTS Centres: The EXPRESS 3's continuous monitoring extends to seamless integration with Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) centres. This integration enables operators to promptly detect and address issues, ultimately improving maritime safety and navigation efficiency. #MaritimeSafety #DigitalAtoN #NavigationEfficiency
