TIME TO GET THE HEIGHT SAFETY INDUSTRY REGULATED …!!! As a matter of public safety, fair trade, and the economy. In most cases a PCBU holder will need to use a “combination” of height safety products. Rather than hierarchy of control. And must be “site specific”. Misinformation and disinformation is also a contributing factor to injury’s and fatalities. The height safety industry is also “unregulated” simply because the related falls code referenced standards are not marked part of legislation, so no governing body is overseeing manufacturing product compliance, Thus has allowed some unscrupulous roof anchor system manufacturers sell and promote unsafe, non-complaint roof anchor systems. This has been a contributing factor to all the serious injuries and fatalities we see happening weekly.
My government is prioritising our relationships with Southeast Asia. Because when our region prospers, Australia prospers. Southeast Asia’s leaders have come to Melbourne for the ASEAN-Australia Summit to discuss ways to increase trade, secure our region and bring our people closer together. One in four Australian jobs depends on trade. And by working with our neighbours and friends we can deliver for Australians.
