From January 2026, all connected TV devices supplied in Australia must comply with new TV prominence rules. These rules are designed to make it easier for Australians to access free-to-air services and apps on their smart TVs and similar devices. The ACMA has today released a report on the outcomes of our recent consultation on TV prominence implementation. The report summarises stakeholder submissions, updates our preliminary views on implementation, and details our next steps. The outcomes report is available here: https://lnkd.in/gkW6JT76

Tips and Tricks with Smart TVs - Samsung Smart TV service menu If you are working in the streaming industry, you might have encountered different issues that your standard procedure might not be able to handle One of the recent ones was that I switched one of our Samsung Smart TVs from one country to the other, and options like Reset to Factory Settings were grayed out. Each tv has its own service setting option, which is hidden :D The magic is to know how to find it and invoke it and factory reset the TV. Some of the codes that we use are (if none work there are more): 1. Info + Menu + Mute + Power (most common combination that usually works) 2. + + 1 8 2 + Power 3. Display + P.STD + Mute + Power 4. Sleep + P.STD + Mute + Power 5. Display + Menu + Mute + Power 6. Mute + 1 + 1 + 9 Note: Be careful where you touch, as the options available might brake your TV if you do not know what you are doing! Follow for more tips and tricks which I am going to share moving forward!
