One of the biggest areas affected by population expansion and habitat loss is coastal areas. Unfortunately they play a crucial role in storing carbon and biodiversity, but even more important for humans (even outside of coastal areas) is protection from weather events and changes brought about by climate change.
"Blue Carbon is the carbon sequestered by coastal marine ecosystems. Coastal seagrasses and wetlands remove carbon from the atmosphere and help to combat climate change." 🌏 Learn more 👇 via THE GREAT POND FOUNDATION INC
