I appreciated you diving into the misconception that the next-generation systems are still bad for applicants. Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending an insightful CPO Series discussion with Kishore Konakanchi, the CPO of Chargebee. During the discussion, Kishore emphasized the importance of an Effective Product Operating Model, which encompasses how a product team operates to achieve its objectives efficiently and effectively. The model is comprised of three main areas: 1) Objectives: Setting clear objectives for the product and defining the priorities that align with those objectives. 2) Team Structure: A well-defined team structure ensures that the team is set up correctly to deliver on the objectives. 3) Operating Cadences: This refers to the regular meetings and processes that are set up to facilitate communication, collaboration, and decision-making within the team. These cadences involve cross-functional groups of people and help keep everyone aligned and focused on the objectives. Implementing an effective product operating model is crucial for the success of product organizations. The areas above need to come together and are the starting point to forming an efficient model.
