🌟 Shout out to Nadia Edwards-Dashti for her tireless efforts in raising awareness for financial inclusion! 🌟 We all share the responsibility to drive change, and even the smallest actions can create a ripple effect in a larger chain of progress. In the US alone, there are over 33 million SMBs. Of these, over 14 million are women-owned small businesses, representing over 40% of all businesses in the country. These women-led firms make a significant economic impact, generating $2.7 trillion in annual revenue and employing nearly 12.2 million people across the US. BUT... Despite their contributions, women-owned businesses face systemic challenges in accessing financing. According to recent statistics, while the percentage of female and male-owned businesses applying for financing is similar, 28% more female-owned businesses are denied funding compared to their male counterparts. There is still much work to be done to level the playing field and ensure equal access to capital. I'm excited to announce the release of two new episodes of the Sending Money Podcast, EFTs and the role in Financial Inclusion - Parts 1 and 2.
