“Stu, do you have a team?” It’s a question I get a lot, so let me break it down. Yes, I do have a small, highly efficient team of A-players around me—but no, I’m not trying to build a massive network of agents under one brand. My two junior brokers handle all the operational details: scheduling inspections, attending showings, and ensuring every transaction runs smoothly. They’re an extension of my reputation and service. Together, we’re equipped to handle 100+ deals a year while maintaining the highest level of care for our clients. Because to truly meet client expectations, you can’t do it all alone. It’s all about building a team that supports the bigger picture.

"Organization. I had to know every single minute of every single day for the whole year. And 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐈 𝐚𝐦, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡." ----- I had a different career before selling insurance. Unrelated industry. Unrelated job. In my experience, most Producers also had a career before insurance. But this doesn't mean you're starting from scratch. If you can identify the skills and behaviors from your pre-insurance job that can be leveraged in your Producer career, you can hit the ground running faster. For Joel Cadesky, his prior career was teaching elementary children. And that prior skill was organization. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐲. After 45+ years in the business (and still going strong!), he knows a thing or two about what it takes to be successful in the long run.

I hired an assistant and lost $12,000 4 years ago i decided to hire an assistant She would help me to —> Create —> Develop —> Maintain Better relationships with clients She was young and inexperienced But i saw a drive in her eyes And decided to give her a chance She was motivated to prove that she could achieve a lot In the beginning, everything was good We managed to —> Build better customer service —> Create better relationships with clients But one day, she sent the wrong file to the client And after a few hours, i received a complaint from the client that They had spent 3 hours with their team discussing the implementation of this file But only now my assistant informed them that it was a wrong file I ended up losing that client and $12,000 Here is the lesson that i learned: —> Trust, but instruct If you don’t give your team exact instructions: —> What to do and how to do it You will see only mistakes because that is what you set up The more detailed the instructions are, the better the results you will get Trust your team, but don’t forget to instruct Like this post? How fast can you build an insurance sales pipeline? Some agencies/brokerages have a 90-day ramp-up period for new Producers. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, 3 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: --- product training --- systems/CRM training --- job shadowing --- MAYBE an outdated video module on "how to sell insurance products to clients" And 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯? Off to the races. You are given a territory, a phone, and a target. In David Manske's world, that's a luxury he cannot afford. His team only eat what they kill (they're all 1099s/self-employed). So what does he do instead? 𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝. In this video, he breaks down his 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭 process for bringing Producers to the promise land WELL before 90 days. Why? 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 3 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐝? --- 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬: you get smarter in front of clients. The sooner you get in front, the better. From Field Technician to Car Salesman: A Commitment to Customer Service As a field technician, my days were filled with hands-on problem-solving and customer interactions, but I never imagined that my own experience as a car buyer would change my career path. One Saturday, I decided it was time to buy a new car. Excited, I visited a local dealership, expecting to find the right vehicle and enjoy the process. However, my experience quickly turned disappointing. The sales staff seemed uninterested and rushed, leaving me feeling more like a transaction than a valued customer. When I asked questions about the vehicle’s features, I was met with vague answers and dismissive attitudes. As someone who had spent years in a service-oriented role, I knew how important it was to treat customers with respect and attentiveness. That day, I realized that many buyers deserve much better than what I had encountered. Reflecting on this experience, I felt a growing desire to make a change—not just for myself but for future customers. I wanted to create a positive environment where people felt valued and informed. So, I made the decision to transition from being a field technician to a car salesman. I was hired as a car salesman at Downtown Kia, focusing not just on the technical aspects of cars, but on building genuine relationships with customers. I learned the importance of listening, understanding needs, and providing clear, honest information. When I finally stepped into my role as a car salesman, I made a promise to myself: every customer who walked through my door would receive the service I wished I had experienced. I aimed to create a welcoming atmosphere, answer questions thoroughly, and ensure that everyone left feeling confident and satisfied with their purchase. Today, I thrive in my role, and it’s fulfilling to see customers leave with smiles on their faces. My journey from field technician to car salesman was driven by a commitment to customer service, and I take pride in providing the exceptional experience that every buyer deserves. ♻ Repost to inspire your network! ➕ Follow Ken Vasquez, for more insights. 📱Stay connected and keep up with the latest updates! - Instagram: @kendowntownkia (https://lnkd.in/gJGS84YT) - Facebook: kenvasquezkia (https://lnkd.in/gZUAFMSX) - TikTok: kenvasquezkia (https://lnkd.in/gvABnTuh) - Email: ken@downtownkia.com Let’s stay in touch! #CustomerService #CareerChange #CarSales #SalesExperience #AutomotiveIndustry #CustomerSatisfaction #FieldTechnician #PassionForCars #SalesJourney #ValueDriven #ClientFirst #CustomerExperience #NewBeginnings
