While it might seem unconventional, walking backward engages different muscle groups than traditional forward walking. Specifically, it targets the hamstrings, glutes, and calves more prominently. It also helps reduce chronic conditions such as back pain and stroke, providing reassurance that this unique form of physical therapy is effective.
