"Dynamic pricing", once the cornerstone of transport [Airlines every day, Uber when it rains], tried to come for your burger. The Wendy's Company attempted to make shareholders happy last month [but consumer backlash was swift - and they went back to tinker with the idea in the kitchen]. But don't think others aren't waiting to cash in on your peek need of [fill in the blank]. Amazon remains many a brand's measuring stick [longer than your social media post telling them to f*&ck off]. "Amazon, for example, reportedly changes prices millions of times per day, with the average product’s price shifting every 10 minutes" Dynamic Pricing x Your Dinner = The future of food pricing. "In the future, the ideal time to eat a burger won’t be when you’re hungry and really hankering for one. It’ll be the oddest, most awkward hours — late mornings or afternoons, the middle of the night on a Tuesday — the slices of time when prices will be lowest. Not unlike your Uber ride, fast food prices will go up or down depending on demand" So no, you're not losing your mind; all prices are fluctuating at an alarming rate.

Amazon continues to try to climb its way up in the grocery category by introducing a new subscription - for $9.99/month, users can get unlimited delivery from grocery retailers like Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh. Our latest marketplace research data shows Amazon falling in last place behind Walmart and Target for shoppers purchasing food and beverage items, with just 36% of shoppers saying they utilize the marketplace to purchase in this category. 🛒 Will this new subscription service allow them to capture more market share? Wanna hear a story? A story about my client… Last year, during Q4, I had a client with a dream: To launch "THE PERFECT" Christmas product. But the question was... How do we make it work? (well we did and here's the story) So let’s start from step one… Step one? Validation. ⬇️ - I read reviews of similar products: “Too sweet!” “Not festive enough!” - Spied on competitors: Who’s in the game? What’s missing? - Targeted TAM: Identified untapped share left behind by big brands and calculated exactly how much we could capitalize. - Perfected the product: Wanna guess what it was (revealing at the end of this post) - Safety first: Ensured FBA approval, food authority certifications, and safe packaging that screams "gift-worthy." - Lean and Mean Packaging: Affordable, eye-catching, and Amazon-ready. Then came the cherry (or candy cane) on top! We locked in buy-now keywords like: “Christmas candies” and avoided window-shopper terms. Result: A product that didn’t just compete BUT dominated the holiday market So what was the product? It was Peppermint-Choco treats (sweet with no guilt) And yes we had to go through the whole process of, - Getting in touch with a nutrient - Taste tested multiple samples - Went over the ingredients - Checked all health components And FINALLY on 4th November 2024, the product was launched! (yes, i will remember the date) and yes tomorrow? I will talk about Sourcing So wanna hear about this sweet candy launch? #Q4launch #amazonprivatelabel #amazonprivatelabel #amazonpl

Somehow, unknowingly but gradually, Fast Commerce with 10-20 Min delivery promise is deviating customers’ focus from the most important QUALITY of products to the leasy important TIME OF DELIVERY. Majority of products delivered under Fast Commerce are staright out of Deep Freezers or Cold Storages and these will not only arrive at your doorstep fast but also deteriorate your family’s health even faster. Dear consumer, beware of your priorities. I am always OK if good quality is delivered taking its own good time instead of some random quality thrown at my face instantly. #quickcommerce #fastcommerce #20mindelivery #priority #qualityvsdeliverytime #zepto #blinkit #swiggy #amazon #food

It's my favorite shopping event of the year: PRIME DAY! Last year, Soom Foods absolutely slayed. This year, we're looking to surpass those numbers by 30%. 📈 How do we plan on getting there? 1️⃣ For starters, we made sure to have ample inventory within Amazon's warehouses (and more on its way to Amazon 🚚 ) so we don't stock out. Kudos to our warehouse team for their hard work packing out pallet after pallet of Soom products! 2️⃣ We partnered with a new Amazon agency this year to help put together a more robust plan, including a lead in and lead out strategy for the event. We plan to CRUSH competition, especially through ads so we remain in that #1 spot. We have some other tricks up our sleeve I can't share just yet... 😉 3️⃣ Soom's Brand Manager, Diana Musgnug, created more communications around the event, including teasers ahead of the promotion, a timely heads up to our newsletter list a day before, and more today! 4️⃣ We also partnered with our affiliates to help drive awareness for our products and sales during the event. Besides securing 20% off on Soom Foods products, what else do you plan on purchasing this Prime Day? SHOP HERE: https://lnkd.in/eHZFA54k #amazon #amazonprime #primeday #amazonprimeday

Remember Paul Rudd ranting about the lingo used at Starbucks? “Venti means twenty!” Well, now every coffee drinker is used to getting exactly the half-caff, soy, no whip Frapp of their dreams at any coffee joint. SaaS founders need to accept that we’re in the era of customization. I had a meeting with a customer yesterday. She wanted to have her Amazon Turkey account combined with her other Amazon Europe accounts. That reminded me that last week, another customer wanted exactly the opposite: they wanted to see each Amazon Europe marketplace separately while combining the inventory on one FBA-EU location. In the old Flieber, this type of customization wasn’t possible. But in the new Flieber, it is. We went that route to allow endless customizations/adaptations, from the way you setup the system to the way you view each page, because we figured that each user wants to have their own Flieber. Just as they want their own coffee order from Starbucks, their own burrito from Chipotle, or their own salad bowl from Sweetgreen. Customers don’t accept the one-size-fits-all approach anymore. And SaaS founders must adapt to that.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Dr Angelus Bernreuther, 🛒 **Amazon Exits Germany’s Grocery Delivery Market** Amazon’s withdrawal highlights the **unique challenges** of this sector. While their logistics prowess has revolutionized many industries, applying it to fresh food in a **price-sensitive**, **convenience-saturated**, and **tactile market** like Germany was always going to be a tough nut to crack—or 🥒 cucumber to sell, as you cleverly put it! --- 🤔 **But Is the Grocery Delivery Space Doomed?** Not so fast! 🚀 **Others, like Picnic and Knuspr, can learn from Amazon's experience.** - 🛻 *Picnic's innovative approach* stands out: - ✅ Tailored van designs. - 🌍 Testing in low-density areas before scaling to cities. - 🛠️ Localized, tailored logistics solutions. With the right strategy, they could carve out a niche in this **low-margin yet promising market**. --- 🍎 **Reinventing Grocery Shopping** Let’s face it: **many people dislike grocery shopping.** The key to success might lie in: 1️⃣ **Balancing convenience with freshness**: Bridging the gap between online and offline shopping. 2️⃣ **Hybrid models for traditional retailers**: - 🌟 Enhance in-store experiences for fresh produce. - 🤖 Automate bulky, recurring orders for quick pickup near parking areas. --- 🙄 *Personally,* I find it frustrating to: - Navigate crowded supermarkets. 🛒 - Load heavy items into a cart. 🏋️ - Unload them at checkout. 😤 - Reload them under impatient stares. 😅 --- 💡 **Your Turn!** How do you think **new players** or **traditional retailers** can: - Differentiate themselves? 🤷♂️ - Address these challenges? 🌟 Let’s discuss! 👇

𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 🥒 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿 So, the time has come: Amazon, one of the major players in #eCommerce, will discontinue its food delivery service, Amazon Fresh, in December. For years, Amazon has persistently tried to entice me with a pre-configured cucumber in my shopping cart. I have steadfastly resisted. A look at the numbers is sobering. The market share for German #online #food has barely reached 3%, much of which likely does not include truly fresh goods, and this figure also accounts for other Fast-Moving Consumer Goods #FMCG. Compared to the overall volume of food spending (which constitutes more than half of the necessary purchasing power), online services are merely existing in a niche, often generating sales equivalent to just a few dozen brick-and-mortar retailers. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴: 💡 The supply from physical grocery providers in Germany is at such a high level that one can often reach several providers quickly. 💡 The price sensitivity in the German retail food sector, with its strong players, counters the elaborate delivery logistics. 💡 For most consumers, freshness means seeing, feeling, tasting, and smelling. This simply cannot be achieved online. Nevertheless, the world will keep turning here. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀?
