#Xbox Game Showcase will be livestreamed on June 9, 2024.
According to Xbox, "This will also be our first Showcase featuring games from our portfolio of studios across #Activision, #Blizzard, #Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios, in addition to titles from our third-party partners."
Xbox owns 23 game development studios and Xbox Game Pass is well-known for its game subscription model, similar to Netflix subscription. While Playstation and Nintendo have been focusing on platform exclusive content strategy (ex) Stella Blade, Spider Man, Mario Kart), Xbox have been shifting into cross-platform model with PC Game Pass.
One of the biggest challenges for subscription based business model for digital content is to keep the subscribers after the first month. The users consume their favorite content in a month and cancel the subscrition if there is nothing interest to keep them stay. That is why Netflix invest in original contents and stay as the market leader until today. The good things that your family and friends keep talking, so you have to try before you get spoiler.
The major publishers of Xbox such as Activision, Blizzard, and Bethesda will be the hightlights at the show, but I am more interested in Xbox Game Studio's original titles for this time. Any major game publishers' AAA titles will take long years until we can play. It used to be 1 to 3 years gap, now we expect 8-10 years from development to release. Gamers expect more games like Hi-Fi Rush; May not one of the AAA games, but fun, unique, and make you feel satisfied to be a long-term subscriber.
Before I end my post, here are some of the games I recommend on Game Pass:
1. Hi-Fi Rush
2. The Elder Scrolls series
3. Fall Out series
4. Star Wars JEDI
5. TUNIC
6. Mass Effect series
7. Tomb Raider series
8. Like a Dragon series
9. Minecraft
10. Persona series

6moOne of favorite games lately! Feels like this was the fantasy magic game I’ve been waiting for. Makes me really feel like playing a wizard or a magician based play style is so much fun! Played so many fantasy’s games where it’s magic mixed with medieval style combat like swords and shields. This game doesn’t make me miss having a sword in me.
