So here the first one is a case study how DJI drones have been used in the construction industry. This is actually the Everton stadium, which is also a massive project in the UK. So DJI drones have been used by the main contractor laying a rogue and in in this job in the construction of the stadium to monitor and manage the project, the project progress. So where they're at decline, they're actually using the DJI M350 along with the L2, which is a lighter sensor. And to capture all the details to they used the drone with a lighter to scan the site, collect the data and then process the data in the DJI Terra software to create a point cloud shown on the right picture below. So those point cloud data can be used, for example, like volume metric measurements. And also project tracking specifically for this project, as I recall, there are moving a lot of the earth like 500,000 cubic meters of sand from the sea. So also a lot of work needs to be done to track the progress and to understand how much work have been done in a certain period of time. So that's where the drones with the point with the lighter sensor can play an important role. And if you're wondering. How much accuracy that we can achieve with drones? So here is more detailed validation against the known checkpoints on the ground. So here you can see that the absolute error on the elevation on direction would be about 3.7 centimeters. So this level of accuracy is actually giving the end user like the construction company a lot of confidence to utilize the drone data. So their routine work. And here we also have like a screen recording of how the final deliverables that we can provide from drones look like. So this is exactly the point cloud that was talking about. So you can see here it's it's actually just millions of millions of points with colors and which represents how the structure looks and also the surrounding environments look like and. One of the unique advantages by using the lighter technologies like you can have those things still structures vary like sharply and also represented in great details and and but in other ways like traditional in other traditional like photo photogrammetry methods, it might not be able to generate this kind of quality so yeah that's also one of the strengths for the. Is it a DJI Matrice 350? Is it an Inspired Flight Technologies Inc. IF800 Tomcat? Nope, it's a CHC Navigation | CHCNAV X500! The X500 is a DJI M350-lookalike from CHCNAV, highly optimised for #LiDAR #mapping and #surveying (AA10 LiDAR unit in the image below). It exceeds the performance of the M350, with a 40 minute flight time with a 4kg payload, 4x GNSS antennas for precision flight, 10" tablet controller, vSLAM and a plethora of other features. Whilst it does seem to be very similar to the Matrice 350 RTK (hey, they say imitation is the best form of flattery!), it does seem to be a decent improvement compared to it. A range of other payloads (EOIR) are also available and whilst CHCNAV is a Chinese company, these will be produced in the USA and EU. Looking forward to testing this when available! Probably my favourite collab so far is between Sony, Gremsy and DJI - the Gremsy MR with the Sony ILX-LR1 for the #DJI M300 series. If you're in inspection or surveying, this is probably one of the best value combos that gives you sharp and detailed 61MP, geo-tagged images. With a wider range of lenses than the DJI Zenmuse P1, this payload can be utilised in 3D modelling, photogrammetry and general inspection data collecting. The Pushpak Viman, a mythical flying chariot mentioned in ancient Indian epics like the Ramayana, is often considered one of the earliest depictions of an aerial vehicle in human literature. In these texts, the Pushpak Viman is described as a marvel of engineering, capable of flying vast distances and carrying many passengers. In modern terms, drones are unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that can be remotely controlled or fly autonomously using software-controlled flight plans embedded in their systems. Here are some parallels that can be drawn between the Pushpak Viman and modern drones: -Aerial Capability: Both are designed to fly through the air. -Advanced Technology: The Pushpak Viman, as described in the epics, embodies advanced technology far ahead of its time. -Remote Control: In the mythology, the Pushpak Viman was said to be controlled by mental commands or mantras. Drones today are controlled remotely, either through manual piloting using a controller or autonomously through pre-programmed software. While the Pushpak Viman remains a mythical symbol of human imagination and ancient storytelling, drones represent the tangible realization of humanity's long-standing dream of flight, bridging the gap between myth and modern technology.

Today on the testbench we have the Riebo SF10 payload. By combining a 103MP sensor with a Livox MID360 LiDAR and a 75mm focal length, the SF10 is a fantastic payload for incredibly detailed inspections. Plug and play with the DJI Matrice 300 series, it is easy to use and has fast autofocusing due to the LiDAR. Whilst it might be considered overkill by some, there are updates coming that will enable more capabilities in addition to the rapid focusing. Our 3D Spatial team recently completed a 45 minute flight with our LiDAR platform and still had more than half a tank of fuel left! This means we can easily handle well in excess of one-hour missions with a good safety buffer. While our drones can handle longer flights, we cap missions at around one hour to keep our pilots fresh and to manage the massive datasets (over 100GB from our triple camera and LiDAR configuration). This endurance allows us to capture more than 300Ha, or up to 15km of road or infrastructure corridor per hour, whilst still achieving sub 20mm accuracy and well over 200 points per m2. Something that most UAV LiDAR providers cannot even come close to. When it comes to thermal 3D modelling, it's pretty difficult to achieve: you're working with less pixels than a typical RGB camera (0.3MP compared to 12MP+) and physics are against you - depending on the surface material attributes and the angle from the angle of incidence, this can all affect the appearance of a thermal image and the temperature data within. The video below, by CZI Chengzhi Intelligence, was created using their new payload, the DT1K, which has a 1280x1024 resolution detector, which provides more data for DJI Terra to work with and produce the below 3D model. This isn't radiometric, but it does provide context and enough information for qualitative analysis.
