In the wake of a new $480 million contract award, U.S. military combatant commands are about to get expanded access to data integration and artificial intelligence tools to aid battlespace awareness and targeting. Wednesday evening the Pentagon announced that Palantir landed a deal for its Maven Smart System led by the Army. On Thursday, company executives said the effort will significantly grow the user base and help the department’s Chief Digital and AI Office proliferate the technology to warfighters and pursue its vision for Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2), which aims to better connect the platforms, sensors and data streams of the U.S. military and key international partners to improve decision-making, operational effectiveness and efficiency. https://hubs.li/Q02z6dHy0

As #AUSA2024 comes to a close, I reflect on how the United States Department of the Army has embraced the digital landscape as a crucial part of warfighting modernization. Not long ago, I worked for a visionary leader who was ahead of the Army’s readiness for this evolution. I believe he would be proud of the strides being made today to ensure the Army is ready to defend the nation for another 250 years. Specifically for intelligence, innovations like #AIDP are setting the stage for a new era of intelligence analysis at the speed and velocity required to ensure decision dominance. The ISR Task Force has made incredible leaps in new platforms to enable deep sensing and unencumbered access to data. The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command continues to operate globally while transforming in contact across every Geographic Combatant Command. The US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE) continues to train and educate the next generation of MI Soldier while developing the requirements and doctrine required to set the foundation for intelligence operations at every echelon and across the joint force. I am also impressed by the hundreds of companies large and small who also answer the call to provide our nations Army the worlds best material, equipment, networks, software, services, and hardware.
