Why have I stayed at Alobees for over two years? It’s not just about the salary (well... not only). 🧐 Yesterday, Leah Garcia and I discussed what really keeps talents in companies, especially in the construction industry due to the current skilled labor shortages. 👷 Leah Garcia pointed out something profound: competitors might offer an extra 1$ a day, but will employees really leave for just $1 more if they feel valued and happy in their current roles? 🫨 Here’s why I choose to stay at Alobees: - Our feedback is taken seriously, influencing changes in business processes. 👂 - The work atmosphere is supportive, filled with colleagues who are more than just teammates (even if I'm 10,000km away lol). 😎 - Franck SOUSA and Erwan Baynaud have successfully nurtured an environment where everyone can truly flourish. 🤝 Years ago, I believed that salary was paramount. The best hires aren’t always the ones with the most impressive resumes. It's not about the qualifications or even the years of experience. What really matters is finding people who are super reliable and independent. As a leader, your focus is often on strategic activities, and you can't always be hands-on with daily operations. But that doesn’t mean the work stops. We still need to keep the business growing. We still need to serve our customers. We still need to ensure salaries are processed. That’s where a strong team comes in. Build a team of individuals: - who have genuine intentions - who are willing to take ownership - who keep things running smoothly This has been my core focus at all the places I've worked. I believe that with the right attitude and commitment, everything else can be learned along the way.
