🌏 Three Tips I Wish I Knew Before My SMU Exchange 🌏 Starting my exchange journey at SMU has been an eye-opening experience. For those of you getting ready to join, here are three things I’ve learned that can make your experience even more memorable: 1️⃣ Cultural Immersion is Everything Singapore is a beautiful mix of cultures, and diving into this diversity is one of the best parts of being here. Whether it's enjoying hawker food or celebrating local festivals, stepping out of your comfort zone will make your stay truly special. Trust me, don’t just stick to what’s familiar! 2️⃣ SMU is All About Community The people here are incredibly welcoming, and there are so many ways to get involved! From student clubs to casual events, every interaction has the potential to turn into a friendship or a learning moment. 3️⃣ Be Organized, But Stay Flexible Yes, keeping track of assignments and classes is important, but don’t forget to leave space for the unexpected. Some of the best moments come when you say “yes” to things you hadn’t planned—whether it’s a spontaneous trip or exploring a new hobby. Embrace it all and make the most of your time here. You won’t regret it! 🚀 @smu.geo #SMUExchange

January me would never believe the life I lived this year. This year, I thought I had failed when: - I didn’t win case competitions. - I was rejected for a society position. - I struggled with exams that didn’t go as planned. But looking back now, I realize these weren’t failures-they were stepping stones. This year, I: - Became part of the YSF(AIESEC)PR team and achieved a 30M+ outreach. - Landed and completed an internship. - Helped 500+ children as part of AIESEC Balkalakaar OC, securing ₹1L+ in-kind partnerships for the initiative. - Earned a society position after perseverance. Every challenge brought me closer to growth, and every setback led to a new opportunity. Success is not about avoiding failure; it’s about learning from it, evolving, and staying true to your passion. Here’s to embracing the journey, no matter how unconventional it might seem. What were your challenges this year, and how did you overcome them? P.S. This is a picture from Balkalakaar’24 that makes me smile till date.
